We just had dinner at this place and the place was awesome food was plentiful and well prepared and they were freindly and talkative. It is down a poorly lit street, but, once you walk the short block you will be happy with the choice.

We always look forward to dining at La Tortuga the only category you can knock is the atmosphere and people like Gustavo and Ruffino give it that extra point. I seem to consistently get the same dish there the la totuga salad large plate of Acacado and tomato in a light italian like dressing which we love. Also the combination... More

Hope you are safe from the terrible storm 9-14-13 Steve and Donna from Fareway Quatro & Iowa. Many things have changed for us.Glad you two have Saub and the Tortuga. The restaurant isn't very big but the staff is very friendly, the food is very good and it's just a half block off of the costera so it's very safe.

The employees took over this restaurant some time back and they are doing a great job with both the food and service. We had last visited 4 years ago but it was still just as wonderful as before. But it is a local place not usually known to all tourists. Check it out if you like local flavors!

super friendly service, excellent tortilla soup, and lots of pickled veggies and chips to start with. easy to find on foot, and rather close to the holiday inn. i hardly like shrimp, but the combination of their shrimp, fish, and spinach all baked together was delicious. this place could turn me into a camarones connoisseur in a heartbeat...

The waiters who are now also the owners really make this place fun. The food is quite tasty.... if you like spicy, try the tortilla soup. The complementary spiced veggies placed on the tables for appetizers are also a plus.

Returned and found that Gustavo & Ruffino had taken over the restaurant. The red snapper was excellent as were the chili relanos. Loved the coconut ice cream. With the departure of the previous owner it is obvious that the location is much cleaner.

We chose this restaurant after reading the reviews on trip adviser and we weren't disappointed. Gustavo went above and beyond to make us happy. He is one of the owners and take a lot of pride in his establishment. It's a modest place with white linen table cloths and real napkins. We had the Red Snapper, Shrimp sauteed with peppers... More

The food was amazing, and everything you read about Gustavo is true. He was our server, and we had a great time.
