Great place...misleading name

This is a very nice restaurant in Saltillo...but as stated in previous reviews the food is not French. The atmosphere is bistro like and service is excellent. There's a nice covered patio area with comfortable seating to enjoy.

Maybe I was expecting more, given the high ranking on Trip Advisor. Unlike other reviewers, the service we received was very poor. Once we were seated, the waiter came almost immediately to ask if we would like something to drink. We didn't see any drinks, other than tea and coffee, on the menu so we asked if they had a... Wide selection of food, nice atmosphere. Good selection of local wines too. Onion soup was excellent. Good value. Bakery looked very good.

As many reviews have stated, Pour la France does not boast a French menu, although the interior decorations and menu design give you the French feel. There's a couple classic items like French onion soup, and quiche and random words in French on the menu that I guess let them feel like they qualify. The service was top notch but... More

I have been there several times and I have never been disappointed, this is constantly very good. This is not a French Restaurant but the design, posters refer to France and the food which is Mexican, has a little touch of French. Example, there was a little piece of Brie cheese with a soup. It s busy, ladies of Saltillo... More

Very nice sertting, a chocolate croissant to die for. Breakfast and coffee average at best. Huevos con machaca. Surprising to see very little people having breakfast early Sunday morning.

After several years of visiting this restaurant in the city I live, I take the opportunity to write some lines and recognize its service and constant quality of meals. This place has a nice atmosphere, and good environment, and has its frequent visitors and food not necessary to say, delicious. In my case vegetarian and have found enough options and... More

I been traveling to Saltillo quite often these past few months, and after visiting many of the newly opened restaurants I was giving up on Saltillo’s restaurant scene. Until a local friend recommended Pour La France…. Whoa! Truly this place has it all, great breakfast, great dinner menu, decent wine list, and definitely a people watching place. Since the menu... Lovely restaurant in a convenient location, with lots of nearby shops, hotels, etc. On a main road in Saltillo. Ate at an outside patio on a pleasant spring evening. Live music (Saturday night). Ordered Coq au Vin to test the kitchen. It wasn't French at all, but pleasant nonetheless. The chicken had a sweet, berry (perhaps moras) sauce. If there... More
