It's not the tipical "fonda" where you get tacos. It's an upscale mexican restaurant. They have very good "carne asada", guacamole, asado de puerco and their famous frijoles con veneno (beans with venom), beans with the asados de puerco's sauce. Thier tortillas are very good also. It's expensive, but the service is excellent, and it's one of the best "mexican... More

This restaurant is a nice place to eat in Monterrey. The price is above the average but it's justified by the good food and room. I liked it for businness meals and even leisure when you want to impress.

I used to visit El Mirador weekly for over 10 years, and it was always a nice experience. El Mirador has always been known for fantastic beef and amazing service, also as 'the place to see and be seen'. The place is still always packed with business people and politicians. After not visiting for some time, I decided to stop... More

Whatever you do, you need to order a "Taco Loco" first. Great service and better food. Very well located.

This very big restaurant was popular ten years ago with the politicians, the place to be seen. Then it was enlarged with a second floor for non smokers that made the place loose its spotlight effect. The meat is plain average, but the handmade tortillas with real corn and not corn flour always make me come back.

The different cuts of meat were prepared perfectly - everything was tender and delicious - and most of it served family style. The side dishes, i.e guacamole, etc. and the mixed drinks (Cuba Libres) were great as well. Beautiful setting and very attentive service. Great experience and looking forward to my return visit.

El Mirador is a great authentic Northern Mexican food experience. There was an abundance of specialty appetizer selections that did not disappoint. The best part was a "steak platter" that was prepared for the table "family style". It was simply delicious ! I needed a nap back at the hotel after our lunch. Would definitely go again upon my next... More

Food was good. especially the steak. They have a trio that plays music while you eat. Had a great view of the mountain range in Monterrey. Kind of a classy setting. Somewhat expensive. I have gone there the last 4 times I have visited Mexico. I alsway enjoy it. The Guacamole is great. Had the banana pie for desert-very heavy.... More

I have eaten many times here. The food is very good, specially the steaks. Baby goat is not as good as they claim. The Services is ok and the atmosphere is very nice as they made major changes a couple of years ago. The main problem with this restaurant is that the prices are very high compared to other options... More

A customer recommended this restaurant to us. At first sight I thought it was a club of some sort for it's fancy decoration. The decoration is somehow intimidating. I felt like if my pocket is not deep enough. We ordered mystery dishes which were not in the menu. Of course this was also recommended by local. We ordered Guacamole with... More
