I HAVENT TASTED SUCH GREAT FLAVOURS anywhere else, not in Europe or the States, cooked at the moment (20min to get your hands on them, but they... More

Have been in Monterrey before and never had anything but medicore food but this was recommended by a collegue in Mexico City and it as good as recommended. Terrific fresh sea food-and a real nice list of Mexican wines. Its in a very convenient area and easy to get to and in an elegant setting. As you walk in there... More

One of the best restaurants that I have ever been in Monterey, great steaks, deserts and drinks and very relaxed ambience, highly recommended for dinner, little pricey but Monterrey is pricey anyways, WORTH the money spent.

Excellent food. We went for a selection of Mexican tapas. Steak cuts with guacamole was excellent. Prawns in lime juice also excellent. Steak in lime juice was lovely. Tacos very good too. Dessert was excellent - went for their ice cream coated in crushed Oreos which was very good. Service was also pretty good. Well worth a visit - but... More

This place is my favorite in Monterrey and I am a local. You better call ahead to reserve since it is very popular. I recommend the coliflor frita and the chicharron of rib eye. To drink try a jarrito, and if having tequila ask for sangrita de la casa to drink it with. Enjoy!!

This is a great place for a good dinner and a long after dinner talk. Every plate is really good, and the lentil courtesy soup is simply great! This time I tried the tuna ceviche with mango and avocado and it is simply delicious. The rib eye a la sal is simply the best I have tried in Mexico.

Please, don't let pass the opportunity to try the soups there. For my humble opinion, La Nacional on Calz. Madero, the real cantina, is more local and cosy.. salud!

I have been visiting the original Nacional Cantina in centro for several years, decided to give the restaurant a try expecting the same level of service and quality of food. They went beyond my expectations. Their food is really great and service is excellent. You can have a 4 course dinner, or go for drinks and have "botana" with company.
