Excellent food. We went for a selection of Mexican tapas. Steak cuts with guacamole was excellent. Prawns in lime juice also excellent. Steak in lime juice was lovely. Tacos very good too. Dessert was excellent - went for their ice cream coated in crushed Oreos which was very good. Service was also pretty good. Well worth a visit - but... More

This place is my favorite in Monterrey and I am a local. You better call ahead to reserve since it is very popular. I recommend the coliflor frita and the chicharron of rib eye. To drink try a jarrito, and if having tequila ask for sangrita de la casa to drink it with. Enjoy!!

This is a great place for a good dinner and a long after dinner talk. Every plate is really good, and the lentil courtesy soup is simply great! This time I tried the tuna ceviche with mango and avocado and it is simply delicious. The rib eye a la sal is simply the best I have tried in Mexico.

Please, don't let pass the opportunity to try the soups there. For my humble opinion, La Nacional on Calz. Madero, the real cantina, is more local and cosy.. salud!

I have been visiting the original Nacional Cantina in centro for several years, decided to give the restaurant a try expecting the same level of service and quality of food. They went beyond my expectations. Their food is really great and service is excellent. You can have a 4 course dinner, or go for drinks and have "botana" with company.

Mmm excuse me but the place aint cheap whatsoever I find a joke that ptices are rated so low, when easily a bottle of wine costs 50 USD minimum, and appetizers range between 10 to 25 USD on average, yeah ill admit that the scene is quite cozy excellent for a date but lets get honest its not a cheap place to... La Nacional is a "go-to" place for business dinners in Monterrey, The menu is varied with a Western Style selection of Steaks to regional favorites and delicacies. Everything was authentic and extremely good. One other note - I was turned on to Mexican Wines here at La Nacional and some of them where Superb. Take your time when browsing the... More

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Great place to go to with friends or family. It gets very busy during weekends, from lunch through dinner.

La Nacional is a perfect restaurant: the food and the service are excellent as well. The rib-eye is awesome and the grilled artichoke is absolutely unique (with the dip they give you...) The wine selection is very good - try Mexican wine from Valle de Guadalupe (they have some red blends) or from Parras (the best semillon - sorry France...)
