I'm so sorry to write this review, but it has to be done... We've been coming to Todos Santos for 6 years, and when Desertu was called Il Giardino it was absolutely fabulous, under both the first and second owners. Then it changed hands again, and was re-named Desertu. We tried it last May 2012 and were disappointed, but upon... More

The Basque Style Green Sauce Fish & Clams, is probably one of the best dishes we ever had, It is a unique style, trust me. We drive from La Paz every week just to enjoy his dishes. I wish this restaurant was in Cabo.

We were aiming for another restaurant that turned out to be closed for the week and were happily surprised at how good everything was, inparticular the pizzas. They have a sweet outdoor space with fans and twinle lights. The service was amazing, probably beccause we were the only ones there. Our ceasar salad was delicious and were were able to... More

Todos Santos is surprisingly rich with dining options. Selections extend far beyond traditional Mexican cuisine, and our first outing here came at the Basque-themed Desertu. The menu here looked very promising, with enticing tapas like duck tacos in tamarind sauce and lamb sausage. With the smell of the wood-fired grill filling up the restaurant, I was really excited for my... More

IL Giardino Pizzeria & Trattoria is a delightful eatery in Todos Santos. This restaurant is in the process of changing their name to Desertu, and changing the focus of their menu offerings. This means shifting the focus from Italian to Baja Basque. What the restaurant had been known for is their thin crust, wood-fired pizzas. They continue to offer the... More

We had heard great things about the new chef, but we're disappointed in our meal. The spaghetti carbonara was gluey in consistency and bland in flavor. The catch of the day, while very fresh and perfectly cooked, was in the traditional Baja style with, for me, too much oily butter and slightly bitter garlic. The service was delightful and we... What a Great surprise ! We Thought it would be another italian restaurant. And we met the chef/owner jose from Spain and his beautiful wife Carmen from Mexico city. He has a great talent for cooking amazing fish and pizza. She is great at attending guests. It is a must if you pass by Todos Santos. And price is excellent.
