Good food and good portions with wine to go with

Trying it for the first time.we had a glass of wine and a beer. Quite good.both from the area. Tried the carpaccio with meat and tartara of atun which were both good. Service was a bit lousy.workers were chitchatting more than they were serving.

GREAT FOOD! If the owner/chef is in the kitchen prepare yourself for one of the best meals of you life. This guys is awesome, he hunts what he cooks in the restaurant and does a great job at it. Very original menu, good wine, good service....by far my favorite restaurant in town. Its a shame that when he is not... More

Delicious food from the appetizers to the main course! Most of the ingredient are from the owner's farm There is a variety of platees to choose from. The food is Baja Med cousine cooked by one of the creators of this new trend

I've been to la Querencia many times and can't get enough of it. The duck and lamb tacos are out of this world. The oyster shooter is a must as well. It's a cool little place with one taxidermy after another (so it's not the place for you if you're a PETA member or a vegan; just sayin'). The service... More

Comfort May 17, 2014 Friday 9pm. We were a party of 10 (5 couples), we sat on tables for 2 that were joined together to accommodate us. We had dinner on the exterior part of the restaurant. I sat in a metal chair and on inclined floor level that after an hour became uncomfortable. Dinner Shared duck tacos (tasty but... More

I was in this restaurant with a couple of colleagues. We had gone from San Diego. It was kind of more expensive than what I thought I would pay in Tijuana but the food and wine were excellent. I do not speak Spanish and so, I was not privy to the names but the fish melted in your mouth and... More

This restaurant has a variety of seafood and game combined and cooked in what he calls Baja Med style. Sofisticaded cooking and incredible new flavors paired with Mexican Red Wine. Yes Mexican wine, sometimes more expensive and as good as Napa Valley's best, the Baja wine country is only one hour away from Tijuana. when at La Querencia, the Duck... More

The tradition of fishing and hunting is expressed in this restaurant. A fusion that reveals the BajaMed cuisine. Love the simplicity and the flavor of the dishes. Simply, delicious. As a Mexican, proud to find places like this one.

I was taken by a couple of business friends to La Querencia for lunch and had one of the best meals I have ever had in the world and certainly the best in Mexico. Forget your idea of Mexican food being all burritos and refried beans. The BajaMed style at this place is wonderful. We started with a seared Ahi... More
