Good but not the best Mexican food

I got the mushrooms and they were really good. But we got enchiladas and they were not that good... I really couldn't say that was the best mexican food here. Service was polite but slow except the meal arrive too fast, we got the meal while we were eating the apetizer (which was very long to... read more

Café de La Flor is a must for breakfast in Tijuana, the food is good but limited to eggs, pancakes, crepes, and chilaquiles, so don't expect a great variety of traditional Mexican breakfasts. All we've tried there is good. My wife Sandra tells me that the huevos con mole were excellent, so was the Apple Cinammon crepe, but the multiple-choice... More

I was all geared up for a TJ walk-about with my boyfriend and we went into Cafe De La Flor for a bit of a fuel up for our trek. We'd been there a few times before over the years, but I had not tried their mushroom starter dish... Holy sweet gods! Wow. Posh-food-in-my-mouth joy! I could have made an... More

We had breakfast at Cafe de la Flor located in Plaza Rio. It its a little hard to find if you aren´t a local, since it´s on the outer side of the plaza near the movie theater. They have a great variety of breakfast dishes, including omellette´s, pancakes, waffles and crepes. Also their coffee options are excellent. Service and atmosphere... More

Tijuana is one of The most authentic mexican restaurants i have ever seen out of mexico. I travelled a lot in mexico for work. The decor is perfect. Service is fast and efficient. I does not damage the decor that the waiters are latin and good looking. The drink menù offers everything from sangria, mexican beer, frozen margaritas and a... More

I can't get enough of La Flor! The food is great (if I could survive of their Tortilla Soup forever, I would!), desserts are amazing (try the apple-datil cake with cream cheese - you will not regrereat it!). Plaza Rio, Otay or Chapultepec, all of them are great. Enjoy! :9

there are two that I know of in Tj, this one in Plaza Rio and one at recta de Chapultepec. Both places are very nice with a relaxed feel to it. The coffees are great and the cakes are delicious. The food is all pretty good : paninis, tortas (with either a salad or french fries), and soups. Overall, the... More
