Inspired Menu - Uninspired Service

This is a neighborhood restaurant with a very innovative menu. We went for lunch and had the grilled escolar (a whitefish similar to halibut) topped with avocado salsa and accompanied by roasted baby vegetables. It was plated beautifully and absolutely delicious. Incredible value at USD 12. We... read more

Went to Gusto in Rosarito Mexico Saturday nite. Probably the best salmon I have had in years with poblano sauce and garlic roasted potatoes. My friend had stuffed chicken with chipotle sauce. When in Rosarito this restaurant is a must. Newly decorated with a amazing ocean view. Can not wait to return to try the seafood garlic pasta. Jeri Serpico... More

We went for dinner and the margaritas were great, but the food was awful. The scallops had fake lime juice which really ruined the whole dinner. Food is overpriced but the wait staff is wonderful. Victor was great but would only come back for drinks.

We went there as a recommendation from members in our production that had been there for drinks and appetizers. Clamming that the food was great and the service excellent, I'm guessing that's just if you sit at the bar. We walked in about 2:30 on Easter Sunday, three of us. We walked in with a party of five that was... More

Located at the south entrance to San Antonio Del Mar it is very convenient. The food and service is among the best in the area from Tijuana to Rosarito...

Gusto Restaurante is a must stop. Located on the San Antonio Del Mar exit off of the Mexi-Cali 1. With a great view of the Pacific it offers a great dining experience. The bread is baked fresh and all of the dishes are awesome. The pizza's are a treat. The Salmon Apple entree is awesome.

We decided to give Gusto a second chance and went for Breakfast the other day. Completely different experience than last time we were there (See my other review). Service was prompt and attentive. The breakfast selection was great. I had a shrimp filled omelete and it WAS shrimp filled. Great flavor and came with cottage fries and chiliquelies (sp). Everyone... More

The salad did not have any of the ingredients announded and was swimming in a bitter balsamic mixture. The fish dish was unappetizing and of dubious freshness. The house wine is Marques del Valle, the cheapest La Cetto imaginable. They charged $5 instead of the $4 on the menu. I would never go back.

We had the dinner specials - I had the linguini with shrimp and my wife had a fish dish that I can't remember the name of but both were very well done. Now the bad part. We started off with the house wine which was poured below 1/2 of the glass (at $5 per glass!) So we didn't order anything... More

Ever have one of those restaurants that you love and hate at the same time? Gusto has good food. They have a fun and imaginative menu. Their prices are good. And at least half of the servers we've had were good and really tried. But then the other half.... One guy has tried to get us sign up for Dish... More
