Tried this place again. Don't understand how it is so highly rated. Asked for Filet Mignon RARE. By no stretch of the imagination was it a Filet Mignon or Rare. When waiter looked at me as I cut the meat I said this isn't anywhere near Rare. He turned and never could catch his eye again. Salad was brown. It... More

Four of us dined here, and 2 of us were pretty unhappy with the food. My medium rare steak was well done (nothing even close to pink in the middle), and my wife's quail was pretty much burned, charcoal crunchy, and dry (ugh!). The exchange rate for use of US dollars was the lowest we got during our stay in... More

Tapanco is one of the best restaurants in all of Rosarito! I've been coming here for years. Consistently great food, service and a great atmosphere. Charming setting with all kinds of things to look at while you dine. They offer a wide variety of cuisine and serve nice portions so you never leave hungry. In fact, you'll probably leave with... We were invited to la Tapanco by a couple from SD who have a second home in Rosarito. It was a delightful surprise to be introduced to such a unique spot. True artistry abounds in every room and I marveled at the time it must have taken to create walls of twigs and ceramic pieces. The food was fresh and... More

Since moving to Rosarito 10 years ago, I must have gone to El Tapanco at least twenty times. Saying that, it must have been at least a year since my last visit. Wow, have things changed and not for the better. I went as part of a five person party. 1, They put a bowl of totopos (chips) on the... More

I've eaten in restaurants all over the world. This is as good as any of them. If you are soup lover this will be your new favorite place to eat. I usually don't order steaks in Mexico but theirs are wonderful. Great menu with tons of choices. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and service. The cheese with chorizo and fresh tortillas were delicious. T-bone steak for us $19! What a deal. Aye way too much. This place is open daily from 8am-10pm! Nice little romantic spot. Loved it. Will be back.
