This is my 4th year fishing in Loreto and I love trying new ones. My snorkeling guide recommended it. I realized I walk by it all the time, close to the Malecon. It is a large palapa and very open. I had the Arrachera, pretty good. I talked with some other fishermen that have had some of the traditional Mexican... More

been there past two years the end of June and they have been closed for the summer the sign says. I guess they are open only during the peak tourist season. Lots of places to eat even walking distance from this place.

Went late June, hot & humid, they put fans up for us which blew Hot cooking smoke in our direction. Food was good, but had better at other restaurants.

There's something about restaurants named La Palapa, we have the best luck with them. Puerto Vallarta, Santa Rosalia, and now another solid experience with La Palapa Loreto (all unaffiliated). The Loreto expression of La Palapa had attentive service, pleasant open air seating and kitchen, and one of the better Rellenos I've had. That said, it's substantially more expensive than the... we took our fresh catch and they cooked it up for us right then. No need to call ahead or drop off the fish early in the day... We watched it get cooked in the open air grill kitchen and dined under the grass roof.

This was a unique open air restaurant where you can see the fire pit being used to cook their meals. I had the catch of the day with garlic butter and she had the cheese enchiladas. Both meals were well prepared and tasty. The catch of the day was sea-bass, I was hoping for yellowtail but it was not the... More

Ate at La Palapa 3 times on a recent trip to Loreto. Had lunch, drinks and ceviche and dinner there. All were excellent. For dinner had a group of 20, brought Yellowtail we had caught that day and let them prepare them. AMAZING!! Done four different ways plus a Seven Sea's Soup. You will not be disappointed eating here.

We stopped after arriving at the airport. This is the second time I have been to La Palapa. It is always great! The waitstaff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. (Some of us didn't speak Spanish, "No Problema". First came a large platter of chips, salsa, and appetizers. Then our mouth watering meal! It was absolutely fantastic. They have a... More

There was a large group of us yet the service and food was as grand if we were only a small number of diners. The food was so fantastic that my mouth is still watering from the great flavors. It is a MUST go to if you are visiting Loreto! Don't miss out!

This magical place is under under a straw palapa with short walls, so mostly open with the kitchen consisting of wood grills and small gas burners. And with this they put out some of the finest fish, mostly caught that day and traditional Mexican dishes. The food is consistently excellent and the staff remember you and your interests. I make...
