Excellent seafood & margaritas.

We are a couple in our 50's from San Diego on vacation in Loreto for a week. We had asked our innkeeper about where to go for dinner, and although we didn't get referred here, we had walked by this place a few times in the evening and it looked & smelled wonderful (and was crowded!) so we gave it... read more

A little bit pricey, but the food is well worth it. Always great, we have eaten here on three different trips to Loreto and the food is always delicious.

Fish tacos are literally fish on a tortilla, leaving a little to be desired. Drinks were large and delicious.

The food is very good. Be careful about ordering a pitcher of margaritas for that is what you get. A whole pitcher, and a pitcher of ice to go with it.

Do you like bland? Then you will enjoy La Palapa! Do you want authentic Mexican food? This is NOT the place for you. This is tourist quality, bland, unappetizing, and boring food. Did I mention it is BLAND??? Both my wife and I have travelled Mexico for thirty plus years and this place ranks near the bottom for quality of... More

Every morning about 7:30am they start roasting the chilies, tomatoes and tamatillas (the little green thing that looks like a tomato). Then they make 3 wonderful types of salsas. Plus they pickle onions. so if you love salsas and chips this is the place to go. The waiters are a great group too. come and enjoy. I tried the lobster... More

The ambience is wonderful, cheery festive colors,; fabulous food; You can see the cooks at the grill. Very clean. prices reasonable. welcoming. the only thing that would make it better is A/C…especially right now ,when it is so humid and hot! They do set fans by your table, so that helps!

This is a reliable, old standby which shouldn't be passed up! The dominant clam in this part of the Sea of Cortez is known as the Chocolate" by the locals, both because of its chocalte brown coloration as well as its natural sweetness. Whatever your entrée choices, your whole table will love the massive "free" platter of chips, guacamole, pico... More

guacamole, chips, stuffed baked potatoe with flank steak. Ate here twice during our stay in Loreto. Went back because it was so good.

Where the locals go. Good seafood. Especially their local chocolate clams (the color, not the flavor)
