Great atmosphere and food. Large portions and loved the selection of salsas that came with the chips. We had a variety of seafood and meat dishes, and a wonderful tortilla soup. Everything was delicious!

This place has great service service, the staff is friendly and ready to explain the extensive menu. We visited them twice, had both seafood and meat, everthing is excellent and very light! I recommend the stuffed peppers and the enchiladas, simply delicious! The margaritas are great too but VERY strong, so beware : )

The restaurant location and setting is great. This was our second time in 6 month. I remembered this restaurant as a real find the first time so I couldn't wait to go back. Well very disappointing second go around. For one our waiter could have cared less, and I don't need much attention but geez I'd like a little. Margarita... More

It is hard to beat La Palapa if you are bringing in your own "catch of the day". They offer 3 choices of preparation -- garlic and butter, breaded, and Vera Cruz. We have never tried the breaded since the garlic and butter and Vera Cruz style our so wonderful. The presentation is amazing. Any fine restaurant in New York... More

We like to eat here on every trip. Located close to the town square, the restaurant is open air under a large palapa covered patio. The chicken tortilla soup and chicken mole are the dishes we enjoyed this year!

La Palapa is a consistently good restaurant on the main road through town heading down to the Sea of Cortez. It's just a few hundred yards from the Malecon on the south side of the street. It has an open feel with an outside kitchen visible near the street. Sea food is good here but last night I tried the... More

I confess to having a weakness for the large open-sided palapas such as we found in this restaurant. I also love cooking on the "brasas" and being able to watch the cooks do their thing. We happened on this gem as we were walking around the town and the aromas pulled us in. Decor is rustic, the wait staff were... More
