We took our dorado there and the chef cooked it in three different ways. YUM! Great food! Street musicians will serenade you for a few dollars.

We returned to La Palapa because we knew that we could find some good food here and decent service. Service was great and the presentation was beautiful, really first class for this tiny little fishing village. The portions are on the smaller side and the prices are a bit high. Pricing and portions were closer to what we could get... More

This is my 4th year fishing in Loreto and I love trying new ones. My snorkeling guide recommended it. I realized I walk by it all the time, close to the Malecon. It is a large palapa and very open. I had the Arrachera, pretty good. I talked with some other fishermen that have had some of the traditional Mexican... More

been there past two years the end of June and they have been closed for the summer the sign says. I guess they are open only during the peak tourist season. Lots of places to eat even walking distance from this place.

Went late June, hot & humid, they put fans up for us which blew Hot cooking smoke in our direction. Food was good, but had better at other restaurants.

There's something about restaurants named La Palapa, we have the best luck with them. Puerto Vallarta, Santa Rosalia, and now another solid experience with La Palapa Loreto (all unaffiliated). The Loreto expression of La Palapa had attentive service, pleasant open air seating and kitchen, and one of the better Rellenos I've had. That said, it's substantially more expensive than the... we took our fresh catch and they cooked it up for us right then. No need to call ahead or drop off the fish early in the day... We watched it get cooked in the open air grill kitchen and dined under the grass roof.

This was a unique open air restaurant where you can see the fire pit being used to cook their meals. I had the catch of the day with garlic butter and she had the cheese enchiladas. Both meals were well prepared and tasty. The catch of the day was sea-bass, I was hoping for yellowtail but it was not the... More
