A friend and I walked into this restaurant one Saturday afternoon and found the ambiance to be very nice. Open air, casual dining, very interesting and fun decorations. Ubaldo the owner was our waiter and he was kind and attentive, suggesting different options and being generally helpful without being overbearing. My friend brought in his own fish and they prepared... More

We ate there several times on our trip. We took our own fish twice. Had it cooked w/ garlic and butter and Vera Cruz style. Small Dorado and a Pargo. It was delicious. Their steamed vegetables were a little over done for me so I ordered beans the next time, no problem he said. The Limonade was made w/ sparkling... More

Behind the La Mision Hotel, the food was fresh and reasonably priced. The people were very friendly and engaging. Go there, you won't be sorry.

The Laughing Dolphin just might have been our favorite desitination on our trip to Loreto! We were staying out at a resort 20 miles away and the trip into Loreto was less than desirable; but we made it a 2nd time just to go back to Laughing Dolphin. The atmosphere is awesome, the margarita's were the best we've ever had... More

We were coming back from a successful fishing outing (dorado) and stopped in to have them cook up our catch. The dorado Veracruz style was absolutely delicious!! So delicious that I insisted on being brought back into the kitchen to get their recipe. The service was gracious and the margaritas strong and tasty!! Overall, a great experience!! We're going back... More

The giggling dolphin serves great food. The atmosphere is fun and the drinks are strong. Their coconut shrimp is awesome. If you order a margarita, be prepared to pedal the bicycle to blend it your self. I recommend this place.

stopped in after dinner, on the way back to the hotel had to stop for a drink (how can you pass a bar called the Giggling Dolphin?). They were closing but happily invited is in, we sat at an inverted sail board they used for a table, wonderful margarita that led to good shots of tequila, a very accommodating and... More

How can anyone resist the name alone? Good food, great staff, and great location a block off the Malecon. They even graciously delivered food to me when I stayed in the Hotel Luna next door some years back. If you're in Loreto for more than a couple of days, this restaurant should be on your list.

We went once and kept going back, most of the restuarant that we ate at in Loreto were pretty good but the welcome at the giggling Dolphin was great, really good Margaritas and the bike is fun, we caught fish took it to them fresh and they promptly converted it to a delicous meal.
