When you think you're lost, keep going!

I went with a couple friends who had been there before. If I was on my own, I probably would have turned back. You leave town, heading north, on Calle Davis. This turns into a dirt road, that is covered with rocks, and has many side roads off it (they all end up at the same place, you just go... read more

A must visit! Totally worth the 9 km drive for lunch. Has a great view of Coronado Island and offers some of the best seafood on the Baja. The Chocolate clams are a just fabulous. The Margs are large and strong and the service great!

Keep going... "I think we might be lost" No, let's just keep going... "Seriously babe, we are lost-- this cants be right" Let's just see. We have 4-wheel-drive and extra gas. Nothing ventured... "THERE IT IS!" See, I told you we'd find it. About 25-min north of Loreto on a dusty road through the desert, veering inland until you think... More

This waterside resturant is not so easy to find but any of the locals in Loreto will give guidance to this charming spot 6 kilometers north of town right on the waters edge with a wonderful view and excellent food. This is a not to be missed experience.

We had heard good things about La Picazon and ventured out to find it. Three for of us piled into our jetta rental car and headed north on Davis from Loreto. We expected the dirt road to be rough and it was but we kept on going slowly and picking our way around the biggest ruts and wash outs. We... More

Several people in Loreto had told us this restaurant was a must! We ventured out to find it. I must say, keep going. When you think you are lost and in the middle on nowhere you will find a sign for the restaurant. UNFORTUNATELY, when we got to the restaurant, the gate was closed. There were no signs telling us... We stopped at La Picador after a hot 2 hour walk up an arroyo in Shell Canyon and couldn't wait for a cold beer or margarita. The Margaritas excelled! We were immediately provided a large plate of chips, and a smorgasbord of toppings including an garlic aioli, marinated hot peppers and onions and a smoky red salsa. Just what we... More

La Picazon is in the middle of nowhere. Almost. But it's so worth it! OK, first...getting there: In Loreto, get on Calle Davis and when the paved road ends, keep going. About 9 km past #300 Calle Davis...just keep going. You may not see any signs for the restaurant until you're about 2-3 km from it, but you will. If... More
