If I had to pick one restaurant to bring out of town guests, this would be it! The road to get here is a dirt road (or come by boat, I even heard someone came in via helicopter). The owners are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and the two doxies make the meal that... More

If you've never been to Loreto, this is a must to visit! The road is a bit bumpy, take your time (it's a single lane dirt road) that takes you to an amazing restaurant! It's about 4 miles from Loreto town center - going North on Calle Davis, past Mil Palmas. Alejandro and his wife Imelda are truly a gem... More

Despite the attacks I expect others will add - this is not a simple road to drive. There are SEVERAL turns to get lost down even though there are some VERY small signs but not enuf & taking a regular auto is certainly its own challenge. My biggest mistake was believing it was a short 10 minute drive down a... More

We just had a day in town, stopping by on a cruise, but heard that this is a wonderful place to eat. It did not disappoint. This restaurant is a casual indoor/outdoor patio, the kind where locals eat because of the seafood, and with a striking view out to sea, which was choppy and dramatic the day we visited. You... Getting to the restaurant in a small rental car was quite an adventure in itself, but the trip was so worthwhile. Alejandro offers you a Margarita as soon as you get to your table, and it arrives in no time at all. The setting is perfection - right on the beach looking towards Carmen and Coronado Islands across the deep... More

I've been staying near La Picazon for about 2 weeks now and have had the chance to experience their food and friendship probably like no other. Two words: GO THERE! Alejandro and his wife Amelia are an amazing couple who as of this writing have been married for 26 years. You would think they'd been married for a month -... More

Luckily we went to the restaurant's website which stated that they are closed for repairs. We drove out anyway to look and there was nothing going on and it was locked up tight. Better check the website before you venture out!

La Picazon could be in the best location in all of Loreto. Away from the city and on the water its tough to beat the great view and serenity of their location. We only stopped by for an appetizer and a beer, and ended up staying for a few drinks more. Its tough to leave this restaurant. I could only... More

A 20-ish minute drive down a dusty, rocky, sandy unpaved road from the center of Loreto, you will come upon the oasis that is La Picazon. If you are only going for a margarita and the view, that alone is worth the trip. However, we recommend you stay for the food and the delightful company of the owners and their sweet... More

We were greeted by the owner and welcomed like a friend. I was happy to find an outdoor shower around the back. Great for all of us after our day on the water and sunbathing in the white sand. The smoked marlin was a new taste for me. Remember to get there early. Having no electricity, they close at about... More
