Very Pleased!

We ate at Mita twice during our stay. Very, very good food. Like many places in Loreto, be sure and brush up on your Spanish before you visit. But no problem, the chef came out and took our order.. Wait staff very pleasant.

Every time we come to Villa del Palmar Loreto, we get fish tacos in this restaurant and so far it has not disappointed. Unfortunately, this time around (June 2015) we were craving American food and decided to order a Margarita pizza and a cheeseburger. Do yourself a favor, do not order American food in Mexico, or at least at this... More

For the last couple of years, our fishing group has this a traditional final day dinner after 3 fine days of fishing. This year, we brought yellowtail and grouper fillets. The owner and chef, Juan Carlos, as usual, prepared one of the finest dinners for us. The first course was yellowtail sashimi cut in extra thin slices. Even though, we... More

Butterflied jumbo shrimps wrapped in bacon and baked. Calories city but well worth it. Baked clams, a local favorite is excellent too.

I rarely ever leave a restaurant even if having a bad experience. Thought this place on the square would be a nice time. However my wife and I could not get through our appetizer without constantly swatting at flies. So I can't comment on the food, only the negative experience in what we thought would be a good restaurant. Others... More

Not yet lunchtime, we asked if we could stop for a Margarita on the patio and perhaps a look at the menu. Two nice waitresses looked after us, and brought us some complimentary snacks with the drinks. Menu looked really good, and went inside to have a look at that also, where I met and chatted with JuanCarlos, the owner... More

Great little place. Food was very good. The waitress don't speak much English so the chef comes out and takes your order. I had the catch of the day, Sea Bass, in a mango curry sauce. Very tasty and portions are large. My husband had grilled shrimp in garlic butter. He said they were very fresh and delicious. The waitresses... More

We brought in our local catch of Cabrilla (leopard grouper) and the chef whipped up an amazing combination of sauces and preparations. We paired the main course with an Italian Pinot Gris which was to-die-for. What an evening.

I feel so compelled to write this review. I have been going to Loreto to vacation for about 10 years now. Mita Gourmet is without a doubt the most wonderful restaurant in Loreto. The owners are so gracious and kind. They are truly beautiful people. The owner is also the chef and takes pride in his customers enjoying their experience... More
