A real Find near the town square

My husband and I had lunch at Mita Gourmet and I would highly recommend it. We had their clams called "chocolate clams" tempura and they were great. For our entrees we had fresh sea bass diablo (hot sauce) and sea bass with lemon and butter. Great margaritas too. Don't miss this gem.

After a day of exploring Loreto we were tired and hungry, we came across Mita Gourmet and decided to have lunch there. From the start, we were ignored when asked about seating. We found a table for two and waited for 15 minutes before even being acknowledged, then had to wait another 20 minutes to get a menu? After ordering... More

This restaurant is right on the town square and has a very pleasant atmosphere with outdoor seating and sun umbrellas. The staff was very attentive and the food tasty. We had guacamole and chips and quesadillas - since we were not very hungry. Our friends at the next table said the taco soup was delicious.

We brought in our fresh caught tuna and like others have already said, chef comes to the table and asks the ways you would like it cooked. Then the culinary magic begins, not only was the fish the most interesting and flavorful tuna ever, it was cooked to perfection, not underdone/not overdone, it was simply fantastic

Mita Gourmet was recommended as a good restaurant to cook the yellowtail we had caught earlier in the day. Chef Juan Carlos exceeded our expectations and prepared us a great meal. After asking if we liked spicy, garlic, cilantro etc.....he prepared the fish four different ways. One appetizer and then three different preparations that were served family style. We enjoyed... Relaxing evening on the patio w/ chicken pasta for dinner but the bonus was the young servers being trained by their mom for a pt job while in school. This could have been a recipe for disaster but turned out to be well done.

We had the chef make us a custom dinner! What fun. We told him what ingredients we were allergic to and he pulled together a four course delightful meal. Thanks for a fun night!

I'm in Loreto Mexico as I write this review. December 25th 2015. My meal was chipotle fish with a side of rice, and vegetables. My beer came in a iced glass. The fish was out of the world. White flakey fish cooked to perfection. The chipotle sauce on the fish was to die for. One of my best meals on... More

On our first visit to Loreto my husband and I walked into Mita Gourmet to have dinner. The owner Juan Carlos who is also the chef came to our table and explained they were out of the type of steak my husband had ordered. So instead he offered Fillet Mignon and prepared it just the way my husband requested. My... More

Perfect location and great food selections on the menu but if you're lucky the chef will come out to your table and make recommendations or something special. Large portions and great price.
