I ate here twice while in Loreto and loved it. The seafood is very fresh and preparations are original. The patio is lovely, service is attentive and prices are reasonable. I recommend it highly.

We were staying at Posada de las Flores and Mita Gormet is right on the plaza nearby. Our first experience was for just a couple of glasses of wine to unwind after traveling. We browsed the menu and decided to come back. Overall, we had two excellent breakfasts (my husband and I), lunch, and a dinner with a group of... More

Mita Gourmet is right on the square in Loreto - so lots of ambiance at night. They offer an extensive list of shrimp and seafood dishes, all prepared wonderfully. The owner is very charming and takes the time to visit tables and greet diners.

There's no doubt that if you make it to Loreto, you're going to have good choices for dining. This small town is blessed with great restaurants and year after year, Mita with it's personable chef Juan Carlos delivers. Located on the plaza 200 meters to the north of the Mission, this is a patio restaurant with a great outdoor café... More

We saw the great reviews but this restaurant was a disappointment because of the service. We ordered soup that was quite good but overall we would not recommend unless you are willing to wait for menus, and willing to wait to order because the table ahead of you haven't ordered yet. What kind of system is that?

Second time eating at Mita's. We had several dishes, all fish, and the sauces in particular were excellent. Strongly recommend, we will be going back there the next time we are in Loreto

We had a wonderful lunch. The proprietor is charming, making you feel at home and not a dolt for butchering his language. The location, right on the main square, but shaded from the sun, is excellent. The food was terrific. Everyone loved their choice, from the cilantro fish to the fish tacos.

Friendly Uruguayan chef, very fresh fish and good steak. On the main square in Loreto. Outdoor and indoor seating, friendly service.

Mita's was an enjoyable place to have dinner. We were greeted warmly and given menus. My wife could not decide what she wanted and the owner came over and said "Forget the menu, I will make you whatever you like." The food was very good as was the service.

Mitas used to be excellent. Now it is just OK. Nice location and good drinks. But food quality has really gone down. Also expensive. But some nights there is good music - try to come when Herizon is playing.
