You hook, we cook! Amazing presentation of our catch,

We walked along the main waterfront thoroughfare of LaPaz and came upon this small restaurant. We returned the next evening with our freshly caught cabrilla for happy hour. We were doing a day trip from a cruise ship and looking for a good lunch, margaritas and nice outdoor seating. We went to Carina’s because it was a bit less “touristy” and the owner said if we did not like the food we would not have to pay. We split a beef Mochete. This is a hot stone vessel... More

We came upon this place while walking the Malecon on a warm afternoon. Martin greeted us with a promise of 3 Margeritas for $100 pesos or 6 cold beer for $120 pesos and promised our money back if we didn't like the food. We walked by and about 15 minutes later, after not finding anything else that seemed better we... More

Martin is the main server here and speaks good English. Along with all the menu information you might want, he can help you with advise for any tours etc. We have stipped here for lunch , twice, this week. Had the garlic shrimp tacos the first time and the Enchiladas, the second. Both were good and the beer is Cold.... More

We stopped by for drinks and stayed awhile, due to great drinks and friendly service! I had a virgin frozen margarita- huge and tasty. My husband had his margarita on the rocks and it was equally good. Staff was friendly and knowledgable about La Paz

Started off ordering the stuffed chiles s w/smoked marlin and shrimp. The marlin was so bad and fishy spoiled tasting my wife and I both spit it out. The shrimp was tasteless from the other ingredients. We couldn't even eat it. I ordered a chili relleno that was so small and what did they stuff it with but old bad... More

I was in the mood for some arrachera before returning to San Diego. We first went to Rancho Cocina, but after a five minute wait for anybody to bring us a menu or something we got up and left. We have always good luck at Catrina's. Chips and a spicy bean dip were brought out immediately. My wife had the... More
