Fresh, fresh, fresh, and excellent service, too!

We stayed in a lovely little casita right in the Malecon in la Paz last month, with its own kitchen and cooking facilities, nonetheless, we loved trying out many of the local restaurants. One, in particular, which we 'discovered' almost right next door was Los Laureles. Their seafood is soooooo fresh, the preparation sooooooo simple and delicious, the servings substantial,... More

Right on the Malecon towards the eastern end, this is a typical mariscos place. We had a party of six, and most of the choices were excellent. First we asked if they had live Chocolates, the small ones, They only had the big ones, but they were very much alive and good. Then Oysters Diablo (in a spicy red sauce),... More

Right on the Malecon, on a quieter part of the street. Looking out over the ocean while we ate. Had the camarones rellenos; huge shrimp wrapped in bacon, husband had the pulpo de ajo/octopus with garlic with strips of wonderful guajillo chiles. LOTS of vegetables on the side ,ver deliscious. Not the greattest margaritas but we enjoyed our meals.

Simply delicious!! We have been twice in this typical restaurant and both dinners were great. The choice of seefood is very big (like in the large part of restaurants in La Paz) and the fish very fresh. The waiters are friendly and they provide an excellent service. The quantities of food are big and the prices reasonable and in any... More

The restaurant has sun coming in from two sides. Which made it really hot. The waiter said they had a batch of fresh live lobster that just came arrived in the morning and that's the special of the day. Our party of 3 all ordered the special. When it was served it looked great. But the meat was flaky. It... More

Recommended by a local. Six tables occupied with locals, we were the only gringo's. I had the Imperial Shrimp, shrimp, stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon.I've tried this dish in many cities in Mexico and this was one of the best. Came with three salad's,green, potato, and cucumber along with rice. All for $180.p's a bargain at $14.00. The service was... More

This is what good Mexican seafood is all about. Fresh, tasty and well prepared. Unfortunately we were only able to eat here once during our week-long visit to La Paz. But, Los Laureles will definitely be one of my first stops (if not -the- first) next time I'm in town.

Ate here 3 times during a 5 day La Paz visit. All the fish dishes we tried were very good, large portions and very reasonably priced.Great friendly service, nice location on the malecon , away from the busier part.

Delicious cooked and raw seafood delights. My favorite is the Tostada Especial with mixed raw seafood, cucumber adn avocado. We also have the raw chocolate clams on the half-shell every time we visit. Super quality every time. It's a favorite of ours.

This restaurant looks very unassuming from outside but they have great food! I had the seafood soup and seafood platter both of which were yummy. Fresh fish. Great, friendly service. Doesn't look like a touristy place. I saw many locals also eat here. It's right on malecon but away from the popular part of it. Nice views.
