Went here for a lunch buffet and was extremely satisfied with the variety of "real" authentic Mexican food. I will be returning many more times in the future Lie live entertainment was very pleasant as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed many an authentic Mexican lunch / dinner here - particularly good seafood! Very friendly service and comfortable family atmosphere. We however missed out on the good music and had to sit through a very noisy band one time, but the food and friendly service made it all worthwhile.

Six of us enjoyed wonderful Oaxaquenos food at El Zarape, along with great service and terrific dancers. The mole is superb, as is the Oaxaca mezcal! If you are an adventurous diner, try the complimentary crickets and ants. Not for everyone, but interesting.

As part of a large group we were able to sample an amazing number of dishes from all over Mexico. We were all impressed with the quality and quantity of the dishes. They also had a lovely couple preforming dances from around the country in appropriate dress.

You feel like you have been transported back in time. As you enter the restaurant you see very festive decorations. The food is produced with local and organic ingredients. The owner treats you like family. The food is amazing, Every dish is treated and presented as the house specialty. The little bit of work you do finding this gem is well... More

Good food, great atmosphere. With the buffet, it allowed me to try some traditional Mexican dishes that I may not otherwise have tried. The restaurant is colorful and fun, and is a great place for parties and large groups.

Have eaten here a number of times in the past few years. Always great. We told the owner we had family visiting from Canada and they put on a huge spread of traditional foods for us all to enjoy. From food to drinks it was amazing. The food just keep coming. The restaurant its self is very unique in its... More

My mother went faithfully to El Zarape ever since the day they opened and until the day she died- every Sunday without fail. They waited on her hand and foot, the reward for being faithful. The food is original, unique and changes with the holiday seasons. Yes, it has been a while since I was last there, but the owner... More

The restaurant is nice enough and the people are friendly and courteous. The food seemed over priced for what you got. There are a lot of restaurants in town that have better food and much better prices.

Wonderful traditional food, all sourced locally. The owner is very gracious and delighted to chat and so enthusiastic about Mexico and her restaurant. The Frieda gallery is pretty neat too. The servings are very large so we took some home and it was a lovely treat for lunch on the veranda of our condo rental overlooking the marina the next... More
