A hidden gem

I went to Corazon Cafe many times while living in La Paz. I quite liked it for breakfast, as they had one combination plate with chilaquiles, chilorio and eggs which was really tasty, and I haven’t yet found chilorio as good as I had it there. They also make a good coffee there, which is handy to... read more

My husband and I dropped by for comida and we're happy again. He had the tortilla soup again, delightful. Unlike others, Corazon assembles all but the tomato broth into a beautiful, colorful fresh bowl. The flavorful broth is added at the table. I had Diablolitas: 3 handmade corn tortillas (their own recipe) filled with sautéed poblano, mushrooms, corn and onions,... More

Not many people going out in the heat of July, but this was a nice find. They have a great atmospheric patio where you really can enjoy your meal. As a starter we shared the nachos - very well prepared and tasty. The skirt steak with potatoes and vegetables was absolutly great and my wife had the fish of the... More

The food here was amazing. Honestly one of the best meals we had in La Paz and we had great food while there. The setting is very nice as well. The Mochejete (sp?) was amazing and large enough to split!

Beautiful place great bathroom. Our waiter was nice. Food was good but did not wow us. I was disappointed to see the difference in the amount of food served to us travelers vs the local on the same dish.

Visited Corazon in La Paz from Pasadena california with my husband. Ate falafel that chef Abad had us sample. I have eaten falafel in the past but nothing like this before. It was moist inside yet very well cooked with the tahini salad. It was awesome. I hope they put it in thier menu like the chef told us he... More

The best meal we had in La Paz - everything was fresh and flavorful. Service was excellent, and we sat in the shade but in view of the central courtyard. A good choice for lunch or dinner. .

Our breakfast was amazing. The chorizo and scrambled eggs and nopale were wonderful. The waiter spoke some english. And we speak a little spanish. We enjoyed everything about this quaint courtyard oasis in La Paz.

We went for brunch but really any meal, snack or drink would be enjoyable in this place! Food was great, drinks were varied and delicious, and the atmosphere was quiet and beautiful! Would definitely return!

I came in for breakfast on Sunday and they had 4 other tables (some locals, some tourists) enjoying their breakfast, I ordered and had some of their excellent coffee when a large group came in. About 25 to 30 people in all. The manager rapidly accommodated tables and seating then went to the door and closed it so no other... More
