Beef tacos

After hemming and hawing over the menu, the waiter said we should Oder the beef tacos family style. We were so pleased! It came with all the trimmings and the beef was moist, tender and flavorful. For 200 pesos 4 of us are to our hearts content. I highly recommend the tacos. Nice view of the water... read more

Food was aight. Service was slow. They have one guy making tacos, which are quick, but for anything off the menu, this seems to come from a different kitchen. No explanations or apologies made, however. If you want awesome tacos, go to any of the taquerias in the city for cheaper. If you want a sit-down restaurant there are better... More

This place wasn't bad, but just not memorable. Meh is what comes to mind. Average service, ok food, ok location.

Great casual restaurant we stopped at after our whale watching trip - fresh food, nice margarita, and tender, juicy arracharra. I'll be back !

While spending a week in La Paz, we ate here 3 times for dinner and the food was fantastic. The décor is pretty basic, but the food is wonderful & reasonable. I can recommend any of the meat tacos. Probably had one of the best pastor tacos ever. The steak taco is also very good. Also had shrimp tacos that... More

The food's great and "real." No ridiculous pandering to the Tex-Mex crowd. They specialize in grilled meats, with all the trimmings. Open 24 hours a day, the space looks as if the owners bought one property, then another, then another as they expanded. No frills: just really good food at a super reasonable price. We had great service, even when... More

While Rancho Viejo may not be glamorous in appearance, it makes some of the most incredibly authentic and flavorful Mexican food you can find anywhere! Go for the Molcajecte de Arrachera, a truly delectable mix of marinated beef, nopal cactus, and cheese melded in a heavenly sauce served in a piping hot stone bowl. One of the most memorable dishes... More

My sister and I visited La Paz in early March. While walking back to our hotel, we came upon a restaurant grilling meat outdoors (Rancho Viejo). A nice American gentlemen recommended the Arranchera steak, and we decided to try it. The dish we ordered is precisely as pictured in another traveler's review. When we received our order of Molcajete Arranchera,... More

This restaurant is always open, which is perfect during holidays. The beef is cooked outside and the smell of it will draw you in. Service is quick and friendly, the portions are good and the condiments that are served with the tacos are fresh, plentiful and of equally good taste.
