Ate here twice during our stay in La Paz. Not the most scenic view but we enjoyed being outside. Very nice service, attentive, made sure we had all we needed. I liked the big platter with lots of sides to put on out tacos arrancheras; chilis, cucumbers, salsa, shredded col, etc. Was a good place to take a load off... More

The person we rented an apartment from recommended this place and were were only slightly disappointed. There are only a couple of tables outside here on the sidewalk. Service was extremely slow, even by Mexican standards, but the food was good and the prices very reasonable. We had shrimp and fish tacos, of course, what else does one eat in... More

The location is not fantastic, but the food and service were fantastic. We enjoyed a super delicious Molcajete after having chosen personally the meat. Friendly staff.

This is a great restaurant for casual dining. Good prices, a fabulous Mexican beef and vegetable concoction..I don't know the name. The fajitas are excellent. Nice location just up from the south harbour. Great breakfast and really good service. As always, cold cervesas or really good coffee or juice. You can eat outside and enjoy the sun or indoors, if it... More

If you like steak, you'll love this place. My favorite meal is Arrachera Molcajete and a cold Dos XX. The salsas and sauces for the chips and entrees are fresh, spicy, and everything you'd ever want in a great Mexican meal. I always go to the one up by the marinas at the far end of the Malecon as I... More

IT is good Mexican food. The portions are good, but some times the quality of the meat is not so good even when you order the higher grade meat. The serveice has gotten much better than it used to be.

I've eaten at the original Rancho Viejo location every year for the last 10 years. Their beef, pork and chicken tacos are definitely worth ordering: all meat is well cooked and seasoned. They provide excellent condiment platters with salsas, avocado based dips, marinated onions, pickled peppers,... If you have a fragile stomach, you might want to go easy on the... More

A spur-of-the-moment decision turned out to be absolutely delicious. My family of four definitely enjoyed our dinner at Rancho Viejo. The arrachera (sp) tacos were absolutely delicious -- order them. The queso fundo was fantastic, too. The service was exceptionally fast and we were very pleased with the overall experience. Seating was inside and out. We liked dinner so much... More

My wife and I enjoyed a late breakfast/brunch here during a recent visit to La Paz. The food and service were very good and the location right on the Malecon is great.
