After checking out reviews, we decided to check it out and went to the location off the Malecon. Let's keep it simple: The goods: the Molcajete was really tasty and was enough for two of us to split. The neg's: the price is not cheap compared to Mexican prices. It is relative cheap to American prices. Just to compare... It... More

Rancho Viejo is a La Paz classic. The real thing to order here is arrachera, a sort of marinated steak. I strongly advise against getting tacos al pastor here, as they are really horrible. It would have gotten a better rating, but having gone multiple times, I found that on average, the service was terrible, and once I even ended... More

We went here on a recommendation from a resident of La Paz. It was walking distance from where we were staying and they were open 24/7! They have street side dining, private dining rooms and a dining room with AC! The staff were amazing and the food was off the hook! We went back three times. Such a variety of... More

The fresh seafood was cooked right out in the open patio area. The food was excellent. We ate outside and the ambiance was both quaint & charming. The staff was friendly and the margaritas were delicious!

Have eaten there about 6 times over the last 8 years. Great Mexican food, great service. We go there at least once every year during our 1 week vacation.

Our kind of place....we ordered .5 kilo of arrarchera beef....tortillas, spicy queso, margarita, beer...and it was less than $30 and we couldn't finish. Just 1 block off the malecon....we wish we would have found this place earlier in our stay. Recommended by a local.....loved it....what we expect, look for, and hopefully find when we go to Mexico.

I think most people that eat tacos in Mexico order the popular tacos al pasto(pork). We do not eat pork; therefore, we only have the option of ordering beef tacos. Unfortunately, the tacos we have eaten throughout our road trip in Baja Caifornia Peninsula, have been not too good or just barely average. The restaurant offers just barely average beef... More

If you want lots of food at a very low price, check out the Rancho Viejo. I've eaten their at least once for the last 7 to 8 years and always find it to be a fun experience. I particularly like their grilled pork which oour group always buys by the kilo. They have killer condiments which I personally have... More

The food was okay, nothing special. Our server was very nice. She spoke no English but we were able to order easily. Restaurant was very hot and there were a lot of flies buzzing around. When asked the server did turn on a fan which helped the temperature a little and helped keep away the flies. There are many great... More
