Best mexican food on the Malecon in La Paz

in front of the malecon, open air restaurant and bar, menu based on shrimps, prawns, crab, lobster. Very nice staff, parking on the back.

While the food is the real star at this popular Seafood Restaurant, the service and pricing are running on reputation. Our server was a bit haired for some reason and the vibe was definitely "up-scale", (I'm cool so I'm here vs. this is cool so I'll go check it out). To further distract the waiters (mostly male profession in Baja)... More

We ate here twice in a row and both times the food and service were wonderful. Great fish tacos, clams, pizza. They have a New baker that makes artisan hamburger buns. Even though it was super hot and humid and the restaurant is open with no windows we were okay because they turned on the air and the water sprayers.... More

Location: On the Malecon.Indoor and outdoor seating.Very open. At this time of year though, it is extremely hot, even with overhead fans. And flies flit around everywhere. I felt sorry for the waiters, because they were dripping sweat. They were very attentive and kept moving, but still. I bet it was 100 deg there...inside! My husband's scallops turned out to... More

I tried Almejas Chocolate Viva for the first time. It was outstanding. If you like a raw oyster you'll like this raw clam. I ate lunch on two different occasions. Both times it was excellent. Great Salsa Mexicana plus a wide array of different bottled sauces and hot sauces. The fish is fresh and prepared well. The service was "tops".

People have raved about this place, but honestly we were disappointed with our fish tacos. I ordered the crispy ones and they were soggy outside and dry inside. My husband's were not any better. Maybe we were there on an off day.

My partner and I stayed ten days in La Paz and visited this restaurant six times. The scallops (callo de hacha) are huge and delicious. I tried both varieties, empanizado (breaded) and then on another occasion, with garlic, both outstanding. We also tried the chile relleno stuffed with shrimp and breaded fish filet stuffed with shrimp. We liked those dishes... More

Very popular spot on the Malecon especially on weekends .. Very Pleasant atmosphere . It is been around a long time and it's starting to show. the staff is very unattentive. The servers congregate either on the sidewalk or at the pass out bar. None of them roam or work the floor and look for customers needs. If you need... More

A good place where you can find mexican food of high quality. It appears (and it is) very big so you may be suspicious about quality but you have to try. Yes it is big but yes it has good and various food at a reasonable price. I've been there several times. Try cevice de pescado: que bueno!

The Bismarkcito has a great location, and because of that, I was suckered into getting tacos there a couple times too many. The restaurant itself is nothing special, with a kind of accelerated environment, and not really much of a view. The waiters are pushy if you only order tacos. And the tacos... are not very good. At least compared... More
