Some things were really good (dessert) some things were bad (appetizers) some things were average (main meal). The place is small, location is horrible (next to Port entrance), the place is small, decor is OK. Food quality/taste is all over the place, not cheap at all. I do not recommend it.

I went to Manzanilla with my husband on Friday night and we had a delightful dinner. We had 9 pm reservations but we ended up getting there almost an hour early and we decided to sit at the bar (cool art nouveau wood panel). Claudia was behind the bar and she was lovely and helpful. We ordered two glasses of... More

We had a really nice dinner at Manzanilla. Yes, its in an odd location and a bit difficult to find and park but its worth it. We ate at 7pm and by the time we were leaving, it was just starting to fill up so we beat the crowd and missed the atmosphere. But our service was terrific, and the... More

Possibly one of the best aged ribeye we had. We stop almost every time we come to Ensenada. Consistently good for several years and excellent service. A place to enjoy.

Mielle 3 was closed when we went to Enseneda so we tried Manzanilla. Once you found it in a slightly creepy area I wont go there by walking, a large door opens on a room with a giant bar and tables facing it. The food quality is awesome and meals are very creative: meat or fish the atmosphere is trendy... More

We heard about Manzanilla from an article in Baja Bound that identified it as one of the outstanding restaurants in Baja. The article mentioned this was where the chefs of Baja went after work. We were not disappointed and in fact Manzanilla exceeded all expectations we had for a restaurant in Ensenada or anywhere. It is in a class by... More

Gourmet at its finest. Pricy and small portions. The parking can be complicated since there is only limited street parking. There is a very nice wooden bar and pink chandeliers. One of the paintings is very strange. After a few glasses of wine the place becomes very pleasant.

Look for the blue painted building on a straight-as-an-arrow portside street and that will be Manzanilla. Very little signage [I parked right in front and didn't even realize it!]. There is no valet parking. I don't care for the decor---one enters a darkish loft-like bar, and another room on the right feels like Siberia. I sat at the bar and... More

I can't praise this restaurant enough. Just a short walk down a rather unpromising street towards the port from the tacky tourist centre of Ensenada, this is another world of sophistication. Between me and my friend we had oysters, spinach risotto, and a single huge raviolo thing. Followed that up with flawlessly executed crème brulée and ice cream with a... More
