The best tostadas ever..!!!!

Going to la Guerrerense is a MUST if you're in Ensenada. You have to try one of each, loved the one with avocado, and also the different sauces they have. For sure you'll have the pleasure to me Sabrina.

I knew this place was famous and of course it was my fault for showing up a bit late (6pm) and asking for tostadas. They had cocteles of mussels and scallops. Absolutely delicious and wishing we had arrived sooner. It's just a small stand ran by an older lady, there is a lot of history behind her stand. It's a... More

Sabrina who is the owner has received attention world wide. The salsas and tostadas that she makes were handed down from her mother in law who was the original owner. She has been seen on Anthony Bourdaine's show, and has been written about all over the world. She has also won awards in food shows in California and Asia. Personally,... More

The food is fresh, you feel like a local all the time. Several kind of tostadas to choose from, Plain Ceviche are my favorite. The cocktails are exceptional. If you go to Ensenada, is a Most.

Back to Ensenada again on our short cruise. The only thing that we were looking forward to was another visit to La Guerrerense. This time we asked the owner's son what we should order and he suggested the uni with fresh shucked clam topped with avocado pieces. I believe it was their best seller in 2012. Whoa! It was amazing!... More

This is not a restaurant, it is street food, and it is fantastic. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Not just ceviche but chopped just shucked clams and octopus, so good. And fabulous horchata too. And priced so reasonably.

We had heard that the sea food tostadas at this street stand were especially good. They were tangy and definitely unique with ingredients that I had not seen before including sea urchin, sea cucumber and sea snail. I tried the shrimp and it was similar to ceviche but served on a small corn tortilla topped with avocados. Very inexpensive --... More
