Based on the Tourist Board’s recommendations, we stopped by at about 7:30 on a week night. The restaurant was almost empty with a group of about 8 celebrating that night. My husband had the fried lobster, along with a delicious clam chowder. This dish came with refried beans (delicious) + rice (terrible). We also shared a 1/4 of a pound... More

Our trip to La Cocedora de Langosta was a result of friends taking us to their "newest find". The restaurant, at the entrance to Ensenada downtown, is on an off street. It is easy to find on your own or by asking around. As starters the ceviche with avocado (you have to ask for the avocado to be included) is... More

Locals suggested this place for lobster, it is on tourist walk near the cruise lines (we were not on a cruise). We walked in, the place was empty, but to be fair there was not a cruise in town and it was about 6:30pm. Somewhat expected in a tourist district. We were greeted well, but when we went to the... heard good things about the place but did not even come close to review, food was marginal which we should have expected when we were the only people in the restaraunt when we walked in. You can find better.oysters rockerfeller was excellent, which was the savior for the evening.

It's a small place, no A/C, and we went on a hot day, with that out of the way.. The ceviche especial is superb, the abalone is very fresh, do try the abulonato... it's like a clamato but with abalone instead of clams... The seafood pasta with pesto is also a very savory dish... do give it a try

Great ceviche and always good selection of fresh fish. Combined with the best local wines makes for a fun and consistently great dining experience. Don't be afraid to just let the chef or owner choose several dishes for you to try. They always hit a home run.

We've been going to La Cocedora since it was established and we received a recommendation from an Ensenada resident. The food is wonderful - absolutely fresh and creatively prepared. Every time we visit Ensenada (3 or 4 times a year), we make sure to have at least one main meal there! It's a very special place!

I was hopefull when it fist opened, but it only went downhill. If you order ceviches it´s pretty good but other than that it´s a hit and two misses. The lobster if live is more expensive than fancy places in Ensenada probably the same prices as San Diego. The service is below what I would like to see in just... More

Great Service, you can see the product is still alive, also a great quantitative of wines. The Geoduck Clam is the best they can offer also as the names says the Lobster. The cuisine they offer is a mix of Mexican seafood and the taste the Chef puts in the dish. Great place for your family, friends or romantic date.... More
