Good seafood, but watch for salty sauces

We ate here four times in five days, so obviously liked the place. Over the course of those visits we learned what to order and what we should skip. The carpaccio of mano de leon (huge ocean scallops, sliced thin, served cold marinated in lemon juice, with capers and thinly sliced red onions) was... read more

Every meal I've eaten ate Mahi Mahi's has been exceptional, from their awesome Pulpo (octopi) dishes to their camarones aquachilles verde or roja ( raw shrimp in a very spicy sauce either red or green). The wait satff is very friendly and bi-lingual enough to take your order and help with menu selections, if it's fresh seafood you are looking... More

It's a funny story. When I first came down to Baja some 8 years ago now, it was the beginning stages of the 'Baja med' food explosion in Northern Baja that is now in full swing. So not knowing any of this I arrived in Ensenada and asked a few random locals for a recommendation for the best restaurant in... More

Even though the menu is a little outdated in comparison with the popular gastronomy offered in Ensenada. It is always good to rely on a classic well executed menu. Good prices and atmosphere.

In a city that is known for seafood, this place is absolutely worth visiting. Lots of items on the menu we don't normally see, and many types of grilled fish. All of it looked amazing! We got the Toritos de Marlin, a couple tacos de pescado, and a marlin empenada. We washed them down with a michelada and a margarita,... More

Great seafood. The appetizers were much better than the main courses. We took a group of 10 people here.

Friends introduced my husband and I to Mahi Mahi yesterday. We had heard about it for some time about and we weren't disappointed. The shrimp salad, baked oysters with cream and big shrimp cooked in olive oil were outstanding. The staff were so pleasant and friendly. At their recommendation we tried Mahi Mahi's special drink - Margarita with beer! Who... More

We thought the fare here was just so so. It does seem to be popular with the locals who may know more about the menu than we did. Our fish was overcooked, as was the accompanying veggies.

We have been there regularly 3 to 4 times per year for the last 17 years. We never had a bad meal, NEVER!. We mainly eat shrimp salad, fish, seven mar fish soup, crab claws, etc.. The food and service are 5 STARS. I gave a 4 stars because the decor needs some refreshing. By the way, very reasonable prices... More
