I love love Hogaza Hogaza!! I've been trying their bread for years now and its consistently beyond expectation. They started as a specialty bread maker. I normally get their Mediterranean bread and bring it home to have with a seafood dish and some white wine. Its simply amazing, you can taste the freshness of the olives. Yummy. I haven't tried... Well...finally a terrific bakery/ eatery in Ensenada....we discovered this small bakery while strolling around downtown Ensenada..it was very close to our hotel..on the tourist strip of town. The latte's were the best I've ever had in Ensenada..the soups to die for....once we discovered this place..couldn't go anywhere else...the day it closed(tuesday)..we were forced to find another place to eat. Everything... More

If you're looking for pastry and/or craft bread (with olives, garlic, etc.) this is the best place to find it in all Ensenada. Pastries include: souffle, cookies, cupcakes, etc. Craft Breads include: baguette, croissants, etc. It is expensive, but the image of the pastries worth it. Not so much the taste, which I have found to be kinda poor. If... More

The croissants and cocalados (sp?) sustain me! The breads are fantastic, the tarts are exquisite. We love this place and get there whenever we can. This is really more of a bakery than a true restaurant -- one can only imagine a wonderful cafe with all of their goodies!

Here you can find a delicious variety of bread rigth from the ovens, also some delis, pastries and home made marmelades.

After taking a quick tour at the Santo Tomas winery downtown, we walked across the street to check out Hogaza, Hogaza (www.hogazahogaza.com). I'm so glad we did. It's a European-style bakery that makes over 30 premium gourmet kinds of bread. We tried their signature loaf – the Mediterranean Hogaza – a semi-sourdough bread made with natural yeast, local Baja olives... More
