We ate both breakfast and a late dinner with both being remarkable. A definite must for you to add to your agenda while visiting Ensenada.

This place is quite elegant, has a large interesting menu and great service. Having just come from a wine-tasting trip we did not order wine but the wine list was extensive (and a bit expensive as is most wine in Mexico). We had a large group and orders for our 13 people were taken without writing anything down! When the... More

A friend from Seattle came down with me from San Diego for a short visit to ensanada. We went to El Rey Sol for dinner and long story short, were disappointed on every level. We shared crab and avacado app which came with maybe 5 tiny crackers. The mixture was loaded with mayo and crackers gone in a few bites.... More

This restaurant was in easy walking distance of the hotel I was staying at. The front desk attendant recommended it but cautioned me that it was "a little pricey". I was happy with the meal, the service and the atmosphere and thought the price was reasonable considering what I got and I will seek out this restaurant the next time... More

I have often enjoyed the delicious pastries of El Rey Sol and was looking forward to a dinner and fiesta atmosphere for New Year's Eve. I was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the festive decorations and music added to the experience. It was interesting to me to experience one tradition not practiced in the US. We were given... More

Try the eggs benedict….. simply asome. The breakfast pastry is just out of this world. I really love it.

The food and service is good with a good international selection. The inside is a little dark with no windows so during good weather I prefer to eat outside. The draw back is the people asking for hand outs. More needs to be done to control this. Little pricey.

We stayed in Ensenada last night at Hotel Posada El Rey Sol and had such a delightful breakfast (included with our stay!) at the rightfully famous El Rey Sol Restaurant. I have been going to this restaurant since I was a child. It has always been a real experience, between the fabulous food, excellent service and warm, inviting decor with... More
