Food is slow, the evening staff is rude and clearly does not care to even be there...but it is the quality of the food that makes this place bad. I was told by several people that they used to be very good, but they got rid of a real staff...and now you get over cooked, tasteless food, or bad food.

Seating right on the water. I ordered a burger and fries for lunch but the fries didn't come and when I reminded the server, she came back to tell me the frier was turned off. That was disappointing. They stop serving lunch at 2 and reopen later for dinner. The burger was good and my friends loved their salads.

For lunch their place was ok, because of the view, but the rooms are not very good value. I thought I had booking here and when I arrived, they gave me a key of someone elses room... hmmmm...

Without lots of attention from the server, we still had a great meal with very tasty food on the waterfront. A storm blew in while we were eating, so we moved our plates to the inner bar area to escape being soaked. Unfriendly wait staff, but great food.

One of the cheaper palces to stay but the rooms are basic and need a fresh up. If you order food in the resto count at a waiting time of at least one hour before you get served. Staff is lazy and unfriendly. If you don't walk over to the counter to order there's a chance you can wait forever.

We were there to dive... and it was a bit of a rush everyday to make it back to our hotel (old Gin House) by 2 pm for lunch before the kitchen closed. On Wednesday, Old Gin house's kitchen is closed, thus we wanted lunch from Golden Era (next door). We arrived at 1:45 to order and were told that... More

Food is good, service is nice and you sit on a terrace on the sea. Very nice place after hiking a full day or swimming in the sea.

We had sort of saved up our appetite and cash to splurge for lunch at the outdoor patio restaurant at the Golden Era Hotel and were surprised to find that for only slightly more money than some of the other island restaurants we felt we got a lot more in terms of service, presentation and flavor. The location is great,... More

The outside terrace here gives you an excellent view of the sunset. The sound of the waves makes it a special treat. We had lunches here and especially enjoyed out dinners. Service is slow, but the food was worth the wait. We had a large group, often 10 people, and the girls did a good job waiting on us. The... More
