Great experience for a Sunday lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff, and excellent food. Nice gaps between courses was appreciated, as was the "no rush" policy which meant we could enjoy our occasion without feeling under pressure to get out and vacate the table for others. Ample car parking. Can fully recommend.

Although we live only 10 miles from the CoB, we've never eaten there. When we booked we were informed that there was a party of 30 booked in at the same time so would we like to sit in a quieter part of the restaurant. Laura our waitress was excellent and really made our 2 children feel welcome. The food... More

Love this place! Went to celebrate a birthday party in December. Usually December birthdays are always a pain but here was fantastic. Although it was busy we were served with drinks and given menus within minutes of arriving. The staff looked like gliding ducks on water whilst their legs were going mad below. We ordered on the sofas and were... More

A small group of us went here at the weekend. We all had a great night. Staff very friendly and welcoming - they looked after us brilliantly. Food was delicious - good choice and cooked to perfection. Overall a really good venue. I go here occasionally throughout the year and it never disappoints. For some of the group it was... More

In honesty, I only usually write reviews on here if I've had a bad experience but my recent visit to this lovely restaurant was anything but. The staff were polite and helpful and the food, well, ... it was IMMACULATE! Best steak I have ever had and so I felt that I should shout about it. I would recommend this... More

From the moment we arrived at the Cob to discuss our wedding we could but have been made to feel more welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Alethea was amazing and gave us lots of ideas to help make our day so special. Every idea we had was taken on board and adapted. They literally... More

We were in for lunch about 3pm today looking for a potential wedding venue. We were shown to a table only to hear over our shoulders, from the waitress, repeatedly how we'd "stolen" some old ladies table as she walked her into the dining area. Very welcoming! We ordered a chicken salad and a burger. I'm told the salad was... More
