I had the great pleasure of dining at La Traite! Situated in the Hotel-Musee, the decor is elegantly Aboriginal - with traditional elements blended with contemporary. The food was delicious - each plate was decorated so beautifully. The food was wild game (we had smoked salmon, elk and caribou as appetizers and smoked ducked for the main course). To finish... The choices on the menu are original and represent well the first nation. The sunday brunch is excellent. Lots to choose from.

Wonderful atmosphere and fabulous food. Gracious staff. We had the duck, which was excellent. My son adored the game pate.

Although the price is too high, the singularity and the quality of the food and of the wine make it a must ! The decor folkloric and modern offer a great ambiance and the service is very good. Better to go on a winter evening to enjoy the warmness of the interior decor and of the fireplace. Ask for a... More

La Traite restaurant is unusual. Owned and operated by natives Hurons in Wendake, about 20 minutes north of Quebec City, it is set in a beautiful wooded area, near the shore of rivière Sainte-Charles. The setting is charming, with tasteful artefacts of the native tradition and the Fall foliage through the large windows was inspiring. My wife andI enjoyed an... More

After the museum visit we took lunch at this small restaurant; was a wonderful experience with local cheeses and fruits served with local bisquits; one word: delicious!

This restaurant offers an original menu. Everything in the plate was delicious. The service was courteous and thoughtful. The atmosphere and the decoration is a real tribute to the Wendat nation. Prices are reasonable for this quality of restaurant. A must see for tourists and everybody else.
