Great decor, ambience and lighting! Went for dinner had Parmesan fondue, salmon, (campbells) mushroom soup and wapiti. Portions were a good size, rice was very undercooked and chewy, gravy for wapiti was from a package. Service was unremarkable. For the price and the look of the restaurant, expected a lot more. A tourist trap with no English menu! Improvement in... More

The Sagamite has great traditional food (wild meats, fish etc) that is hard to find at other restuarants. The price is very reasonable and the atmostphere is great.

Great food and amazing service with a beautiful, modern and cultural decor! My 6 year old loved their pizza which my husband and I also loved (unique but also very tasty condiments) but their whole menu was great. My husband loved the bison Osso Bucco!

Dining at The Sagamite is a must if visiting Wendake. We had our lunch there after a 25 minutes walk from the site traditionnel huron. We got an excellent local dish:the burger de wapiti(elk meat, bacon, cheese), salad, fries, vegetable soup and refillable coffee/tea.They cook it deliciously, the elk meat is juicy and tasteful. Also come with bread, butter & margarine.Presentation is good too!... Unique dishes like bison, elk, etc in what is basically an Italian themed restaurant. Memorable meal. Unique décor. There are the usual animal heads and then a canoe also hanging inside the place.

We went for our girls yearly Sunday brunch and were not disapointed. We had a brunch menu with your standard omelettes and eggs benedict. But with a few twists with smoked bison or elk. The service was quick. The decor is obviously native American inspired. The restaurant is located right next to the Kabir Kouba Waterfall. Worth the detour.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience- wonderful (but yes slow...we were in no rush) service - great ambiance and wonderful meal - we had the wild meat, bison, elk and deer, shrimp potence- and for desert the maple syrup pie would recommend highly- great cultural experience
