Great meal

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience- wonderful (but yes slow...we were in no rush) service - great ambiance and wonderful meal - we had the wild meat, bison, elk and deer, shrimp potence- and for desert the maple syrup pie would recommend highly- great cultural experience

We went for our girls yearly Sunday brunch and were not disapointed. We had a brunch menu with your standard omelettes and eggs benedict. But with a few twists with smoked bison or elk. The service was quick. The decor is obviously native American inspired. The restaurant is located right next to the Kabir Kouba Waterfall. Worth the detour.

Beautiful restaurant with large modern design and First Nations decor. We had a quick meal of pizza and desert. Everything was wonderful. Sugar pie was great (ok, more regional than traditional, but great).

Myself and a friend wanted to try something different so I suggested going to Le Sagamite. I had heard really good things about it on a Quebec City radio station so I was curious and wanted to try it. The menu offers a great variety of "regular" meats and wild game meats such as elk, deer, duck and bison. The... More

We went to the restaurant after phoning another restaurant and being referred to Sagamite. We are sure glad we were. The food and service were excellent. Waitress Sonya took time to explain some things to us and she made the meal memorable. Thank you.

My wife and I had been wanting to try this restaurant in the village of Wendake for quite some time. There is quite a variety of modern takes on traditional food on the menu but we dicided to go with the house specialty. The "Potence" is a four course meal the highlight of which is a flaming main of fresh... More

Travelling to Wendake was really a nice experience and The Sagamite confirmed the goodness of our choice of visiting the places of the Hurons. Though it was a rainy day, the staff was very friendly, and the food...special, not the ususal things you eat in Canada. We had mushroom soup that was very warm and tasty, then meat very tender... We stayed in Wendake for 2 nights & full day. We stayed @ the Musee/First Nations Hotel and sampled the area's attractions (but that's another review). On the 2nd & last night, we had dinner @ the Sagamite (pronounced Sa-GAM-e-tay according to our server). I was a little concerned, given the number of poor-to-fair & ambivalent TA reviews. I am...
