The only bar

Only place with a bar-buzz. Good music. But despite being an open design the smokers did fill up the spaces

Prices were good / average. Cocktails and mixers were especially terrible. Almost no alcohol in them and not done to recipe. Atmosphear was eerie and strange. Only bar in the area so you could see that expression on everyones face like im here without choice and when i finish this drink im out of here. Having tried the place with... More

Nothing special about this place: grouchy waiters (not sure if they are the owners of the place). We visited for a few beers and hot lemon tea after dinner. View was overlooking the car park and it was really nothing special.

Being the only pub in Tanah Rata, Travellers Bistro is popular with tourist crowds and it opens past midnight. So, for vacationers who are used to city life, this a must-have as no other pubs in Cameron Highlands that stays open past midnight. Weekends can get a little crowded and difficult to grab a seat. Service is not one of... More

I hate to see businesses with good potential and owners have no idea how yo maximize it. Travellers Bistro is probably the only pub in Tanah Rata, the only one I found. I have been drinking Tiger for weeks on end and was happy to see see a proper pub drink menu. So I ordered a magarita which the bartender... More

Fortunately placed in the centre of Tanah Rata this bar is one of the few places in town where you can get something else besides beer. We had a few whiskies, it was still early on, the place was almost empty. We ordered and paid at the bar, so no waiting time for us. Prices definitely on the touristy side.

After hearing people sound like they were having a good time here we decided to go for a snack and a drink. We didn't have exceptional service from the bar tender and when we asked for a food menu he made a few suggestions of things they served. I had to clarify that I'd like to see the menu, where... It's very unfortunate that Travellers seemed to be the only bar in town. My friends and I stopped by for a drink and quickly realized it was a bad idea. Our waitress was in no way professional and did not know the names of any of the cocktails meaning that he boos had to return to our table to confirm... More

The waitstaff is friend but between the 3 cocktails we ordered we could not finish any. The Pina Colda was tasteless (not even a hint of pineapple or the flavour of Malibu), the Long Island Ice Tea tasted strongly of scotch whiskey (which should not be in their, we checked) and the Russian Meal was also fairly tasteless. The staff... More

Well, travellers was something quite different. We visited twice, and the bartenders seemed to be more or less drunk both times. Not that it bothers me at all, good fun. The only real gripe I have about the place is that my wife found four of what appeared to be finger-nails in her Pina Colada. Show-stopper.
