We ordered tandoori chicken. Chicken was very dry, the naan was very thin and a bit burned, not close to how a naan is supposed to be. Waiters don't worry about you after you sit down. One of them told us all the dutch words over and over and over again. Bit annoying in the end. Chicken with vegetables was... More

We went here to taste the mentioned tandoori chicken but we found it quite mediocre - pretty dry and very little curry which was somehow unwillingly refilled. The waiter was friendly but more concerned about getting customers from the street than taking orders. In total ok food but nothing special for a good price.

We ate most of our meals here. The food in CH is lacking to say the least. Kumar's definitely had the best food in town. The food was tasty, it was cheap and the staff was helpful. Don't wait too late to eat as they sell out of food. If you have dinner before 7:30 pm or so you should... More

The Naan were good and the Chicken tandoori a bit dry. We went there for the banana leaf set but were served in banana plastic plates! Service was quick and relatively friendly but the food was far from amazing. This said, Tanah Rata is not famous for its restaurants!

I'm surprised that this place is ranked #3 for Cameron Highlands. Food-wise it is average only. Wife had a roti telur which was ok, but the dhal accompaniment was not so nice. Mee goreng was decent. The fried rice was average.

We ordered our dishes, they came quick. As we ate I watched the open kitchen. Staff chopping chicken, dropped part on the floor, left it for a while placed it on another bench before placing it back into his pile - continuing to serve it. Watched several staff members wipe noses on their hands whilst preparing food.

Let's be honest, the restaurants in Tanah Rata are absolutely rubbish - all of them. This place is about as good as it gets. The best thing on the menu are the rotis. Avoid the tandoori unless you like meat that was cooked hours ago, left to go cold then heated until it is dry when you order it.

Very friendly staff and full of foreign visitors tasting the delightful dishes being made in an open kitchen in traditional style. Low cost but clean and easily accessible as it is on the main road in the middle of all the other shops.

I have been in Tanah Rata for about a week now and I have eaten at every Indian restaurant in town at least twice. I have eaten at Kumar's 9 times now (I just had dinner there), and it is definitely my favorite. The staff crack me up. They are always smiling and joking. Sometimes the service is spotty, but...
