Description: The Mole and Chicken is a picturesque, ivy-covered country pub and restaurant in Easington near Long Crendon that is renowned for its Sunday roasts and superb views of the surrounding Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside. The country-cottage-chic interior is all chocolate brown and tan leather seats, whitewashed walls and designer fabrics, and the kitchen at The Mole and Chicken uses seasonal ingredients to create their moreish Mediterranean/British menu. We highly recommend the BBQ belly pork ribs; chilli fried baby squid with garlic, lemon and olive oil; and the devilled kidneys on toast. Enjoyed yourself so much that you don't want to leave? You don't have to, just book one of the five boutique bedrooms located next door!

Went to eat there friends. Food was excellent. Served really good English food, all cooked extremely well. Presentation was excellent. Had kidneys which can often be over or under cooked and here they were perfect. Main course of lamb was very flavourful land my wife had the pork and prawn curry fusion. Thought it would not work but it was... More

The Mokevand Chicken is everything you want from an English pub. Amazing food, a couple of real ales, and friendly staff. We will definitely be back

A quick visit for a light lunch on our way back from London. The redecoration is great, with much better use of space. The tables are a sensible distance apart and the chairs comfortable. The wall colours are rich and warm and clever use has been made of lamps, mirrors and objet. The ambience is both sophisticated and welcoming. All... More

I first saw a Tripadvisor review of this pub/restaurant a year ago and bookmarked it for a future event. Well, our 10th wedding anniversary came round and we decided to give it a go. The location meant a 50 mile trip and rather than drive home after a celebratory evening, we decided to stay as well. We were not disappointed!... More

We booked on a Groupon voucher and although it was quite a long way from home it was well worth the trip. The deal was Chateaubriand plus a bottle of wine. The steak melted in the mouth and the mushroom side order was cooked to perfection. The only slightly disappointing aspect was that chunky chips were off the menu so... More

This was our third meal here in the past 18 months. Apparently it was once a favourite eating place of the Blairs....not George Orwell's family but Tony and Cherie. No restaurant can be condemned for the political crimes of the clientele. However, it is vey small, and the tables are somewhat crammed in. The lighting on our table was too... More

I experienced a very poor lunch here. The service was unsatisfactory and included standing waiting in the bar for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence, a problem securing a table which had been reserved for myself and a friend, on asking for ice with my water being told the unusual reply 'It comes in a bottle', being referred to... Had a great lunch at the Mole and Chicken today, had heard lots of good things about it and was keen to try for myself - I was not disappointed. Very good menu choice and although I was not adventurous with the Burger it was one of the best I have had - followed by a sumptuous treacle pudding. The... More

Quality of food is exceptional...but.... My visit was spoilt slightly by, in my opinion, a lack of variety in the chose and portion size was small. I also did not notice that when ordering you need to order all veg from the sides at the bottom of menu, the waiter did not tell me either..... Maybe I should open my... More
