The Mole and Chicken is a picturesque, ivy-covered country pub and restaurant in Easington near Long Crendon that is renowned for its Sunday roasts and superb views of the surrounding Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside. The country-cottage-chic interior is all chocolate brown and tan leather seats, whitewashed walls and designer fabrics, and the kitchen at The Mole and Chicken uses seasonal ingredients to create their moreish Mediterranean/British menu. We highly recommend the BBQ belly pork ribs; chilli fried baby squid with garlic, lemon and olive oil; and the devilled kidneys on toast. Enjoyed yourself so much that you don't want to leave? You don't have to, just book one of the five boutique bedrooms located next door!

This was our second visit to this lovely place. The views from the terrace are quite superb, made even better as it was a beautiful day. We were using a Groupon voucher which entitled us to a shared chateaubriand. The meat was perfectly cooked, best we've had in a long while. Delicious new potatoes and green beans with samphire which was new... More

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon... Escaping the howling wind and driving rain, walking into the Mole and Chicken was a heavenly treat. Excellent, attentive staff welcomed us and provided first class service. Nothing was too much trouble and made our children feel very welcome. The food was fabulous with so many mouth watering dishes on the... More

We greatly enjoyed our recent dining and overnight experience at this charming pub/restaurant which is in a picturesque country setting but very accessible. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by bar staff all of whom were very friendly and attentive. There is a good choice of local draught ales and the wine list offers some good value if you don't... Very inviting pub within easy reach of Oxford and it's attractions. We stayed one night at this delightful pub - the rooms were clean and comfortable and well appointed. The menu was different and exciting. Food was well presented and the service was good. Breakfast was fresh with home made preserves. Service was good and the overall experience was most... More

Four of us had lunch, which we all enjoyed. The only reason I have knocked off a point is that we had to pay £6 for two bottles (only about 750ml) of filtered water. I usually ask for tap water, but when they offered filtered water I assumed it would be complimentary as it is in many restaurants. Apart from... More
