The Mole and Chicken is a picturesque, ivy-covered country pub and restaurant in Easington near Long Crendon that is renowned for its Sunday roasts and superb views of the surrounding Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside. The country-cottage-chic interior is all chocolate brown and tan leather seats, whitewashed walls and designer fabrics, and the kitchen at The Mole and Chicken uses seasonal ingredients to create their moreish Mediterranean/British menu. We highly recommend the BBQ belly pork ribs; chilli fried baby squid with garlic, lemon and olive oil; and the devilled kidneys on toast. Enjoyed yourself so much that you don't want to leave? Very inviting pub within easy reach of Oxford and it's attractions. We stayed one night at this delightful pub - the rooms were clean and comfortable and well appointed. The menu was different and exciting. Food was well presented and the service was good. Breakfast was fresh with home made preserves. Service was good and the overall experience was most... More

Four of us had lunch, which we all enjoyed. The only reason I have knocked off a point is that we had to pay £6 for two bottles (only about 750ml) of filtered water. I usually ask for tap water, but when they offered filtered water I assumed it would be complimentary as it is in many restaurants. Apart from... More

Good quality and delicious evening meal . We were on a Groupon deal, so a different menu but still a choice of 3 starters, mains and puds. And the breakfast choices were full of individuality and so tasty. Our second visit and still a nice place to stay at. I'm sure in the Summer it would be even more charming... More

Made welcome on arrival. Had booked a room as well as dinner and breakfast. The room was simply stunning, attention to detail was sublime! Spotlessly clean, comfiest bed ever and lush flap jacks. Dinner was served to us by a lovely waiter called Sean, who made us feel very welcome and he was attentive as well. 1st course was black... More

We were celebrating my wife's birthday with a party of 12 for dinner on a Saturday evening and they had organised a simplified menu to our tastes. the food was superb and came without undue delay with no sense of being hurried. the wine was good, (as it should be for the price they charge!) and the service unobtrusive. When we go out for Sunday lunch with friends, we appreciate the option of a traditional roast but also like to have a choice. Too many places only offer a choice of meats, which is not always what is required. So the Mole and Chicken scored well before we even got there - the full menu is available. And it's... More

My wife and I dined there last night and must say that fillet steak was perfect. The menu is varied and the wine list very good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cosy and friendly. After our meal we enjoyed coffee on the sofas by the roaring fire. We will return to the Mole and... More
