Description: The Mole and Chicken is a picturesque, ivy-covered country pub and restaurant in Easington near Long Crendon that is renowned for its Sunday roasts and superb views of the surrounding Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside. The country-cottage-chic interior is all chocolate brown and tan leather seats, whitewashed walls and designer fabrics, and the kitchen at The Mole and Chicken uses seasonal ingredients to create their moreish Mediterranean/British menu. We highly recommend the BBQ belly pork ribs; chilli fried baby squid with garlic, lemon and olive oil; and the devilled kidneys on toast. Enjoyed yourself so much that you don't want to leave? You don't have to, just book one of the five boutique bedrooms located next door!

There were nothing bad for me to share.... I had an excellent time at there from the moment I got there till the moment I left. Everyone around us looked as happy and comfortable as me and my boyfriend. They offer a very good meal size (two course was more than enough for us) and the Chef totally knows what... More

A real log fire, good food, interesting wine list. Efficient service. Pleasant staff. Well worth another visit. Or maybe even a stay! Reasonable prices as well. I shall definitely revisit. Thank you Mole and Chicken.

The food was among the best I have ever had in a pub. So I really recommend it for that. But what I really want to praise is the staff. We went to the restaurant with friends (a couple) and one of the couple has recently gone blind. You can imagine that a blind person who is still getting used... More

We have just had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. I recommend their spaghetti and wild mushroom dish. Delicious! The pudding was apple and caramel tart with cinnamon ice cream, heaven. They have a selection of delicious dishes and desserts. We were welcomed by a charming young man and invited to sit by the warming log fire where we ordered... More

Started well with drinks at the bar, shown to our table and whilst the standard of the food is excellent it is let down by poor attention to detail. Examples are; we were not asked if we wanted to see the wine menu and we were served our pudding but not provided any implements to eat it.

Have been here a couple of times so booked to go with my girlfriend on New Year's Eve. Booked early as was going to a party later on. Restaurant had a few people already eating and food smelt delicious. We decided to share the prawns to start with which were delicious and then both had fillets steaks. These melted in... More

Me and my husband went to the Mole and Chicken for our anniversary. The service is warm and friendly and the food is just WOW! My husband had the hake and scallops which he said were cooked perfectly. I had the pork belly which may look like it would not go but it really does. Thank you to all the... More

The Mole and Chicken exhibits all the best and all the worst traits of a pub in leafy Buckinghamshire. Apart from the fact it's not a pub - it's a restaurant that sells awful beer. The place itself is wonderful - all old beams and atmosphere with a real fire and comfy sofa's. The staff are lovely and make you... More

We recently had lunch here with friends. The food was delicious - the lamb melted in the mouth and the sticky toffee pudding was simply stunning. The experience was let down a little by slow service, presumably the result of staff shortages as they were advertising for staff on the board outside. I'd happily visit again though.

I have been to this restaurant many times before but it is losing its quality. We had to wait 50 mins in between our starter & main course. Food was terrible quality. We were over charged twice on our bill. I emailed the restaurant to discuss our visit but 9 days later we still have not received a reply. I... More
