Like many reviewers I have been to many curry houses; I've also been to India on 5 separate occasions and partaken of many curries. We visited this restaurant by chance as M25 choc-a-bloc. Well, it was just about the best curry I've had in the UK. The puppadums and pickles were great (pickles being variable depending on restaurant), the Chicken... More

We visited this restaurant again as a large group. The food was somewhat disappointing unlike previous meals we have enjoyed. the lamb starter was dry and overcooked. generally it just wasn't up to scratch. however, the service and hospitality was first class. Maybe this was a one off and may try it again.

Whether a take away that is delivered to your doorstep or sitting in, the food never disappoints and is always a real treat. Best onion bahji we and all our friends and family ever had in any Indian restaurant: big, fluffy, crispy balls not the flat, greasy or dry ones you get in so many places. Food is lovely presented.... More

Been using the Spice Lounge since it first opened some years ago on a regular basis for both sit down meals and take aways and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience with either the quality of the good or the level of service.

Every time I have been here the standards are always high, from the food to the service. Nothing is to much trouble and the Onion Onion bhajis are massive. There is also a great Wine List.

I am a big fan of Asian food for many years and I visited this restaurant with friends recently. We were welcomed by enthusiastic friendly staff. The food was amazing. The asparagus starter was laced with garlic as requested and beautifully cooked,I had a king prawn dish which was succulent and juicy and the range of flavours was amazing. This... More

In a nutshell, the place looks nice, but the waiters do not even smile. They actually come accross as quite rude. We asked for less oil in our curries. He wrote it down, but our meals came with so much oil that there was a soup left in the bottoms of the bowls. It took about 20 minutes for them... More

Don't pay up front! - Home delivery packed into two thin plastic bags. Delivery guy drops one on door step. Curry everywhere - including the carpet, door mat, porch & walls. One curry completely lost - one curry 75% lost. Refund? No! Food that was left was nice, if not a bit cold after we had cleared up

Dear Stephen, Thank you very much for your review. We are very sorry about the incident and the poor experience you had. The driver had brought the matter to our attention once he had returned to the restaurant. Since then we have tried to contact you numerous times over the past two weeks, however unfortunately not been able to get... More

Firstly, I have to mention that I use The Spice Lounge for takeaway curry. Due to the time factor, I have never actually sat in the restaurant to eat. Regardless of this fact, whenever I am in there to collect, the staff are polite and helpful. The restaurant itself looks spotless and the atmosphere is relaxing. Either way, the food... More
