Description: This destination dining spot is set inside the historic Meikleour Hotel, a picturesque, ivy-covered inn located between Blairgowrie and Perth. The home-made bistro-style menu here attracts food-lovers from far and wide, and the cosy wood-panelled dining room - with its tartan carpets and white linens - has become a local institution. All the food here is prepared in-house, from the stock-pots to the puddings, and fresh fish is delivered daily from the boats in Aberdeen, and the wine list is hand-picked. Ideal for romantic meals and celebrations, the Meileour has a feel-good home-away-from-home atmosphere, and star dishes include the beef pie flavoured with the hotels own Perth-brewed Lure of Meikleour ale.

We often visit the Meikleour Arms and have had lovely meals. In fact the meal we had at Hogmanay was probably one of the best ever, especially considering how busy the whole place was. However, we visited this evening and, although the meal was good, we were very disappointed at how many items on the menus were not available. We... More

Perfect lunch menu, with good friendly service, in a little village just off the main A93. Feels almost like the local pub

We've been visiting this Restaurant for a number of years, and have always had a very positive experience, food and service wise, but we've been twice recently, once Mid Oct 2014, when it took so long to get served it ruined our family's whole experience, but we thought it would be a one off, so went back today and its... Dear Jim First of all let me express my sincere apologies for your experience here at the Meikleour Arms. We have very obviously let you down, and I emphasize whole heartedly with your frustration. Without trying to hide behind excuses, we did have a large party in our back dinning room and in trying to put their order through, your... More

Meiklelour is a beautiful spot to stop inside and outside seating with lovely trees and grass area. Just off the Blairgowrie Perth main road it is a nice stop for dinner or lunch. The steaks are something a lot of my friends have enjoyed. Prices a little higher than some spots but the quality of fresh produce is worth a... More

The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were so fresh. The dessert was wonderful as well. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

Our second visit to this pub, a place clearly beloved by fishers from the Tay as well as locals. Service is very efficient and helpful, and the menu is simple but decent. Our starters of black pudding scotch egg is a particular favourite. We had mains of burger and fish and chips, both very decent portions and tasty. As we... More

This was our second visit here as we have family living nearby who introduced us to this restaurant. The food is excellent and there is very efficient friendly service from the staff. We have thoroughly enjoyed our meals on both visits and wish we lived a bit nearer to visit more often. Definitely worth a visit.
