This destination dining spot is set inside the historic Meikleour Hotel, a picturesque, ivy-covered inn located between Blairgowrie and Perth. The home-made bistro-style menu here attracts food-lovers from far and wide, and the cosy wood-panelled dining room - with its tartan carpets and white linens - has become a local institution. All the food here is prepared in-house, from the stock-pots to the puddings, and fresh fish is delivered daily from the boats in Aberdeen, and the wine list is hand-picked. Ideal for romantic meals and celebrations, the Meileour has a feel-good home-away-from-home atmosphere, and star dishes include the beef pie flavoured with the hotels own Perth-brewed Lure of Meikleour ale.

Great spot to break a journey.

Lovely old pub located right off the main road offers a selection of local ales, well-cooked and -presented food, and a lovely garden.

The Meikleour Inn has a comfortable country pub atmosphere. The food is worth the 5 minute or so drive from Blairgowrie and there is amply parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu gives a good choice, but is not so huge that it raises concerns about sourcing. My group felt the food was home prepared and cooked. The... More

Great little country pub/restaurant. Great food and tranquil surroundings. food is cooked to order and can be a little long. But well worth the wait as everything is fresh and delicious.

2 minutes (by car) from the A93 at The Beech Hedge this pub is surviving and there are plans to modernise the rather old fashioned wood panelled dining room. The bar area is friendly and food is served here as well as in the dining room. It has a good choice of draught beers, etc. so if you come by... More

Lovely meal with very unusual choices. Scotch egg with a twist! Instead of sausage meat it had black pudding and when cut into looked like a Cadbury Creme egg. Lovely homemade burgers, excellent salmon an brilliant pork dish stuffed with apricots. Looking forward to eating there again when we visit that area.

This is a very good place to eat. The food is good and they have a good selection of real ales to drink. A very pleasant atmosphere and very efficient staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Dear John Thank you for taking the time and posting a review. First of all let me apologise for your Haddock. We take a lot of pride from this particular dish, and it sounds like, that we certainly dropped the ball. All of our food is made fresh to order and its disappointing that yours did not match up with... More

We recently had an evening meal at this lovely place in beautiful Perthshire countryside. It was a warm evening and it was good to be able to have a pre-meal drink in the garden. We ate in the bar area, a pleasant and comfortable environment. The service was warm and friendly, the staff giving the impression that nothing was too... More

Decided to visit again for lunch, lovely setting, service was excellent. My meal was spot on, however my other half was disappointed in presentation of fish dish. Although the food was excellent, atmosphere perfect, just left a little disappointed. He felt plate was too big for meal and something missing. However would recommend and will definitely return again.

Dear mrsmcenroe Thank you for taking the timeout in posting a lovely review after your recent visit. Although you indicated that we got most aspects of your visit right, we also appreciate honest and constructive feedback and the comments concerning the fish dish have been taken on board. Kind Regards Greg More
