There is a set menu - plates of food kept coming! Jugs of wine and a lovely atmosphere. Not cheap, but not hugely expensive for the quality and quantity of food you get. Well worth a visit.

Very good food and nice people - run by Mother and daughter. It's like eating in someone's garden - very homely. There is no menu but they will cater to specific requirements - we don't eat meat. the bill for 2 of us was Euro 78 incl wine - higher than other tavernas but still good value.

I went to Palairos for my Friend's wedding in August and I stayed in Antonio's quest house (which is also amazing!). Along with my husbend we decided to have a 'snack in greek style' in the tavern downstairs. We had 4 courses, a bottle of wine and we spend 4 h with lovely Ladies. I will never forget this extraordinary... More

Four of us had a meal here in October 2015. The setting is delightful, we sat in the very pretty garden with low key music playing. The staff were friendly and attentive and spoke English well, Mama even came out from the kitchen to chat with us. As people have already reported there is no menu. The food was excellent,... More

Visited, for the first time, last year ... left feeling very happy. Had to go back again to make sure our memories weren't too much through rose (actually red wine) tinted glasses. Weren't disappointed - it truly is like being invited into someones home and being looked after as a guest of the family. A real "must visit" if you're... More

Such a brilliant restaurant. No menus, you are served whatever has been cooked that day. There are lots of wee starters then quite a few warm appetisers then a couple of main dishes. All washed down with home made local wine - and lots of it. The owners are LOVELY people who also own The Docks Bar and Coffee House... More

35 euros for 6 delicious courses and a 5 litre mega-bottle of wine (which 4 of us nearly finished) in a lovely vine-covered courtyard. Couldn't fault it. My sister went earlier in the year and took her kids and found it a bit expensive - def best value for those with big appetites and who can put away a lot... More

We have bee to countless restaurants in Greece but this is undoubtedly the best. Tucked in the back streets of Palairos away from the run of the mill tavernas along the waterfront you feel that you have finally met real Greece! The food is excellent and, as others have said, you are in the hands of the mother and daughter... More
