Fabulous food. Great setting. Friendly service. What's not to like? St. Monans is a quiet spot, not where you'd expect to find such quality.

Went for the 5 course tasting menu and upgraded on the night to include the wine selection to accompany each course. All 5 courses were so tasty and exquisitely presented with a fabulous and well thought out wine to go with each dish. One of the best restaurants in Scotland. A bit out the way but worth the journey!

We went here on Saturday night after getting a gift voucher to the value of £100. It was sensational and soon the 2 hour bus journey from Edinburgh was forgotten as we went on a journey of taste discovery. We were shown to the bar on arrival and given complimentary nibbles. We perused the menu whilst enjoying a pre dinner... More

This was a huge treat for us. It was a celebration for my son Lindsay's 21st birthday. He recently completed his training at college to become a prof chef and has worked for 4 months now in his new job as a commi chef at the Old Course hotel in St Andrews. Our challenge was to find a wonderful eating... More

The guys were golfing and the dolls were eating. Impressed with the views but unimpressed with the portions. Don't try here if you are hungry. We came out looking for somewhere else to buy some food to fill our tums. Plates nicely decorated but portions far too small. Go as far as to say there was not enough to judge... More

We ate dinner here during our visit to the arts festival at Pitemweem after a long period of wishing to visit this well reviewed restraunt. The welcome was warm and inviting, restraunt décor understated but stylish. Staff were very pleasant and the service was quiet and efficient. We enjoyed a pre dinner drink in the small but very welcoming bar... More

We were attending the Art Festival in Pittenweem and decided to book Craig Millar's restaurant at St Monans for lunch. It was absolutely wonderful. The weather helped. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside being enchanted by the seascape and sipping some Prosecco. The staff were attentive, professional and friendly. The wine list was first class but the... Superb wine list, beautifully presented food with a Scottish theme and only the best locally sourced produce used. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable of the food & beverages. A higher end restaurant - well worth it for the luxury.

If you like great tasting food that is presented beautifully and priced fairly, intelligent and sympathetic service, a warm and friendly atmosphere, and a great view, make sure you come here. There is not a huge menu, but there is still a good choice - and it's not all sea food. The wine list is good and well priced, it... More

From the warm welcome on the telephone thru the perfect service and lovely food with fantastic views the restaurant excelled once again. A birthday party made very special by the company and the surroundings. It is the best and shows the pretentious Cellar how it should be done
