If you like great tasting food that is presented beautifully and priced fairly, intelligent and sympathetic service, a warm and friendly atmosphere, and a great view, make sure you come here. There is not a huge menu, but there is still a good choice - and it's not all sea food. The wine list is good and well priced, it... More

From the warm welcome on the telephone thru the perfect service and lovely food with fantastic views the restaurant excelled once again. A birthday party made very special by the company and the surroundings. It is the best and shows the pretentious Cellar how it should be done

We happened to stop by here mid-coastal walk due to hunger and heavy rain. Despite looking like drowned rats and feeling a little awkward we were made welcome. It looks quite unassuming from the outside, and to be honest by the decor and menu very pretentious on the inside. Once you get over the hurdle of the cost of the... More

Excellent all round. Ambiance, staff, wine and food were marvellous. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Food was out if this world.

We booked here recently at 2 days notice for a Sunday lunch for 3 generations - myself, husband, our 2 student 'kids' and my dad in his eighties, after being disappointed when trying to book our usual stalwart - the Ship Inn at Elie (not too helpful this time!). What a great turn of fate - the food at 16... More

We had a lovely meal but there was no vegetarian option. When I asked about this I was told I was supposed to tell them I wanted veggie when I booked the table! They were happy to cater for allergies etc if they knew about it in advance. Being vegetarian is hardly the same as a food allergy!

A spontaneous decision to avoid horrendous roadworks delays on the main road out of St.Andrews led us down the pleasant coastal road and eventually to the little fishing village of St.Monans where the sat nav deposited us at 16 West End. We had taken the precaution of phoning ahead to reserve a table, and given that the next two evenings... More

Lovely little seaside town and tucked out of the way with coastal views. I selected the duck with lentils and chorizo which was exquisitely prepared and presented. For dessert I selected the chocolate cremeux salted caramel ice cream. Every bite of this meal was simply divine! We've enjoyed many meals over our three week stay in the UK. This was... More

I was lucky enough to be invited by family members to visit them at there rented cottage in St. Monans recently, they were raving about the restaurant near by which they absolutely loved, and they wanted me to experience it also. Well am I glad I did, as it was truly wonderful, friendly service, superb views and location, and above... More

Dropped in here for lunch without booking while on coastal walk after having an evening meal last year. The set lunch was £18 for 3 courses and probably represents the best value meal we have ever had. Quality was right up there with the excellent but much more pricey evening experience. For those who don't know the area, the dining... More
