Great Indian Food

Went here for dinner on Saturday 4th October and we weren't disappointed the chicken, veg & haggis pakoras to start maybe the portions could have been bigger though. The poppadoms & spiced onions were lovely also. The mains were all excellent as well my South Indian garlic chilli chicken service... read more

My parents' favourite restaurant, where they've eaten regularly for over 25 years. 5 of us went at 7.3pm on a Tuesday of a holiday week and found everything was perfect. The staff were delightful and clearly knew my parents' preferences including their penchant for lemon tea afterwards. The restaurant was full, the atmosphere pleasant and the food delicious. My Mum... More

The three of us enjoyed all of the chosen pre-theatre starters mains and deserts , could not fault any aspect of our visit . Another " night off " is on the cards .

Ordered a chicken pakora, portion size was a third of last time I ordered, should have just gone round the corner to Shaheds, cheaper and more of it. Turban used to be the best in Giffnock for flavour and portion size, now just flavour! Fine if you're not hungry! Poor compared to days of old

I'm half Indian, and very critical of Indian restaurants. I'm looking for authentic food as apposed to the cuisine that many pass of as "authentic" which are often based on a couple of sauces and are like nothing I've ever tasted in India. The menu at the Turban Tandoor close to Giffnock station is very varied and mostly authentic, with... More

The pakora portions seem to be awfully small, considering the portion size when you buy it as carry out. Anyway, we had vegetable which was fine and cauliflower pakora which was watery and bland. The curries however were stupendous. Very flavoursome and spicy. A little more spicy than I expected but really good when I got used to it. They... More

I have been a fan if this place for years and actually rarely have found another Indian restaurant that compares to the turban. However, things seem to have changed and I'm guessing the chef is no longer there as my last experience was so disappointing and the food was nowhere near as good as it normally is. We ordered chicken... More

Been here a few times and it's never disappointed either on service or food. I tried one of the new starters this time but wasn't too keen on it, that's personal preference though, not a criticism. The staff are friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We went the Friday after pay day and it was very busy but... More

We all love Indian food. And this restaurant serves delicious Indian Food. There are several Indians in the south side but this is by far the best and parking in the station is so easy + we love to "walk our food off" going back to the car! The staff are very friendly + suggest various dishes if you want... More

Indian food is probably my favourite type of food and you really cannot beat this restaurant for the quality and freshness of their food. The atmosphere is really good within the restaurant, made special by the friendliness of the staff who are always very efficient and go out of their way to make every customer feel special - especially Amar...
