We used to be at the Gallery almost every week when we lived in the area. Now that we live in town, our visits are a little less frequent, but whenever we are out on the East Lothian coast we try to call in. This weekend we enjoyed wonderful coffee and scones in the lovely courtyard garden. Everything was just... More

We only had a light lunch - soup with bread followed by coffee. We each had different soups and found them excellent, as was the bread. Coffee was great too! The menu of specials was very interesting and we would have had more to eat if we had not been going to have afternoon tea at the Open Gardens event!... More

Several boards set up around village extolling the Gallery and Cafe with the legend "OPEN". We found where it was, parked the car, anticipated coffee and cakes and (you've guessed) it was closed "for the weekend due to family celebration" it would have been kinder to change the sign boards

The East Lothian coast has many delights and the Dirleton Gallery is surely one of them. Dirleton is a charming village with a great castle (Historic Scotland) with beautiful gardens and is well worth a visit. The Gallery isn't the easiest place to find and gets much of its custom from walkers enjoying the John Muir Way, as it goes... More

We called in here for some late lunch and they have a small menu including sandwiches and panninis. The food was fine it didn't wow me. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a gallery upstairs selling cards, pictures and other small gifts.

Found this little gem whilst touring the countryside, had a quick coffee and made it back for lunch. . Great home cooked food and the veggies in the party were well catered for, nice and friendly.

Absolutely amazing quiche. Delicious coffee and a relaxed atmosphere. The coffee was also excellent. Cold outdoor toilets are the only downside.

Lovely lunches or afternoon tea surrounded by art on the walls and windowsills. Friendly service without imposing but you'd also feel comfortable to poke your head around the kitchen door and ask for something. The perfect place for a bite to eat once you've worked up an appetite at Yellowcraigs Beach. P.S. If you like cheese scones, you must try... More

happened on this place while out for a walk on the East Lothian coast so we were quite hungry. The soup of the day smelled good but I decided on roast beef and horseradish sandwiches served with coleslaw and a side salad. It was a very enjoyable plateful. the service was friendly and efficient and we were entertained hearing the... More
