visited this pub with Family & Friends (8 of us) for a meal, thought the pub was tired, bar staff very slow, pub had no atmosphere, Food was fine, we had a variety of dishes. Ordered drinks at the bar while we waited for our table, then no one asked again if we were OK or needed any further drinks,... More

Sunday carvery was excellent, the beef was lovely and tender, good selection of great tasting veg. Price is extremely good value at £7.95. Somehow I managed to squeeze in a desert - it was very good too. Highly recommended!

Good pub food.... Steaks cooked perfectly, everything nicely presented. Staff didn't seem to care much, no desserts offered, had to go to the bar to ask for the bill and then return to the bar to pay. Maybe we caught them on an "off night". The pub was very cold. I'd probably return for Sunday lunch, which I hear is... More

My wife and I visited on two occasions recently, one Wednesday lunch for the carvery and one Friday evening for the early bird special. On both occasions the service, food and atmosphere was excellent. The carvery in particular is really good value but then the early bird menu (we both had rump steak) was on par. Would we visit again?... More
