My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a day trip to Orcas Island. For dinner we decided to try the restaurant at the Orcas Hotel overlooking the ferry terminal. This beautiful Victorian hotel, complete with decor, was a delight in itself to visit. However, the restaurant turned out to be a real highlight of our trip! The food... More

We had dinner in this surprising find the first night on Orcas Island and wanted to go back but did not have the chance to do so -- it would have been worth it, both from a food and service standpoint. We ordered salmon for one dinner and cioppino for the other, and both were very nicely done. Our server... More

The food is good, but too expensive for what it is. Pretty average menu, some seafood items were overcooked.

Parked the car in the ferry line at 9:45 am (for the 12:40 pm ferry---hint, hint) and went to eat breakfast at the Orcas Hotel. The breakfast was great (scones and gravy, eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, fruit, muffins, and more). Nice touch to have scones for the biscuits and gravy! The view from the restaurant is fabulous (I'm attaching a... More

Took a family group of six to listen to live music and have dinner - the best part of the evening was the music. Most of us ordered the burger off the menu - sounded great and looked good, but did not meet the mark. Bread should have been toasted, sweet potato fries were cold, and the taste was less... More

We've been getting breakfast at the hotel for nearly 5 years now, a couple of times a month before catching the ferry back. We decided to try Octavia's for dinner and found the food to be quite good and the service was excellent. The ribs were cooked perfectly and the salmon was right there. Doug, the owner came by and... My husband and I finally came to Octavia's after moving to the island two years ago. I hadn't heard anything about it (not a good sign) despite working in the hospitality industry. The atmosphere was "old lady cozy," which was enjoyable, and the view is great. The fireplace made the space feel warm and welcoming. Everything else, however, was fairly... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the orcas hotel for our honeymoon. The island itself was amazing (especially as it snowed) but what made our stay was the restaurant. What amazing food and service at the hotels restaurant "Octavia's Bistro"!!! We had the ribs - and by far they were the best ribs I've ever eaten! All the... More

My family and I visited Orcas and tried all the restaurants on the island.I realize that this not the "tourist" season but I expected a little more. Every "good" restaurant we tried was a little more than "okay". However, before we left, we tried the Orcas Hotel (Octavia's Bistro). The salmon dish was out of this world! We had the... More

I cannot imagine how anyone could find anything to complain about. The setting was intimate with the fireplace burning. The view is wonderful. Every dish we had was superb! From the presentation to the taste. We had the hot bread and butter. We had coconut prawns and they were top notch. We both ordered Hotpot and I am so happy... More
