As my husband and I eat out almost every day, we are always looking for a good restaurant to go whether at home or on the road when we are on vacation. While we were in Destin, I went online to look for some place to eat and found Sushimoto on Miramar Beach. It may be bit difficult to find... More

It is located in a plain building and certainly is not fancy on the inside either. But the sushi and sashimi are excellent. Very nice place for a break from the typical fish sandwich. We four ate for about $130 with sake and tip. You should try it.

The food was good, the wait staff was pleasant. Our waitress didn't seem to grasp the concept of wrapping rolls in seaweed only, so we just ate the insides. Watch out for the Spicy Tuna Roll -- it's not for light weights!

When we came to town we heard from a local that this was the best sushi in town. I had no idea it was going to be the best sushi, period. I believe we had the actual owner make us some sushi and he was like that best friend you haven't seen in a while. Our local massage therapist friend... More

Recommended by a local captain and he was not wrong! This place was fantastic! Small, out of the way but definitely worth the effort. Fresh, delicious, imaginative food and great service. Outstanding!

A small place with pretty good sushi. Service and attitude were also very good. If you like sushi a nice pick. Not a beach place and a little hard to find between Destin and Miramar.

Nothing bad to say about this place. Sushi is top notch. Better than any you will find inland. Specials are good too. Also, Japanese beer.

I stopped for lunch and had a cup of Miso soup, Spider roll, Cali roll and salmon nigiri. Everything was fresh and delicious!. Service nice and pretty quick. Great sushi. If I had anything negative to say it would be the miso soup had barely any tofu, but that is nit picky. I will go back!

By the looks of this place, you should by every means WALK AWAY, but don't judge a book by its cover!! This tiny establishment who had about as many employees working as there were seats available to eat in, was well worth the hour wait. The sushi was AMAZING!!! Best we've ever had. The yellowtail melted in our mouths.....pure butter!!!... More

I was visiting the area with my best friend and had a craving for Japanese food. The reviews of this place all seemed really favorable, so I dragged my poor friend along with me for this atrocious experience. My first question here is this: has anyone that gave this place glowing reviews ever eaten actual Japanese food? Because I can... More
