Within my 40th birthday treats was dinner at Ardshealach on night one and I am just sad that this is not our local restaurant as we would be here often! The Lodge itself is a beautiful building in fabulous grounds. We were greeted and invited through to the lounge (with mouthwatering aromas wafting in from the kitchen!) for drinks and... More

Reliably and consistently excellent with absolutely no pretension. A really welcoming, wonderful restaurant serving beautifully cooked and presented fresh local produce.

We've eaten here a few time before and never been disappointed. I always book ahead because the local residents also love this place too which is a great endorsement for all Gills hard work and dedication. Excellent does not do her comfortable warm welcome and delicious food, justice at all. We enjoyed game and fish from the menu and neither... More

We have just returned home having spent one night's dinner, bed and breakfast at the wonderful Ardshealach Lodge. A stunning location, superb recently refurbished accommodation and excellent meal with pre dinner drink and canapés served in the wowish new conservatory! The current website photos of the conservatory fail to do it justice as they appear to predate the extensive recent... More

A stunning location, the restaurant was very busy but we ordered drinks which we enjoyed in the beautiful traditional lounge. I ordered a seafood pie that was absolutely stunning - also had cranachan (traditional raspberry trifle). I would order that pie again! After dinner we enjoyed a beautiful sunset over Loch Shiel - the room was bathed in gold as... More

We stayed for 2 nights early in May. We were the first guests after a lot of refurbishments and it was slightly chaotic on arrival but we were made very welcome. By day 2 everything was in order and it was extremely comfortable. A very large bedroom with a beautiful bathroom and a wonderful new very comfortable conservatory where we... More

Sometimes, the five star rating on TripAdvisor isn't enough, and this is one of them. We stayed for three nights at Ardshealach Lodge, and ate at the Lodge on two of the nights. Jill is the warmest, most friendly host imaginable, and it really felt as though she welcomed us into her home. Our room was beautiful - a superbly... More

On arrival the lounge is very welcoming and the food was very good with the starters being very well presented. There are a range of wines to accompany your meal which are very well priced The staff looked after us well and as a larger group, 10, the waiters made sure everything arrived on time. I would have given it... More

The lodge is a typical Scottish estate lodge and again the rooms emulate this feature but this does not deter from the comfort and warmth that is given by Jill and her staff. As for the food, well we did not expect such a variety or meals with such a great taste! This is obviously the place to eat, as for... More

We stayed here for two nights with our daughter and son-in-law. using it as a base to tour the Ardnamurachan Peninsula and also visit Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Jill, the host and chef looked after us very well during our stay. The food was excellent and the service efficient but relaxed. Most of the produce was local with... More
