Stopped here for lunch on our way to Newcastle. Have been to the Belfast Mourne Seafood but definitely preferred this one for food and atmosphere. Seated immediately and staff were very attentive throughout. I had the crab claws for starter - huge portion and absolutely gorgeous! I ordered hake with chorizo, bean and tomatoe ragout. I'm not a huge fan... More

Extremely friendly server, however we left hungry and disappointed....portions were too small, never complained of this issue in my life but this is not fine dining. 8:30 on a Saturday, no monkfish, plus another and only one seabass's left! Menu not extensive enough for this to be a problem on a Saturday evening..... Goats cheese starter tasted great, seabass and... More

After recently moving to Co.Down Northern Ireland, we needed to find some good eating places, and this is definitely one to add to our list of great venues. If you like fish food then this is a place to go, the fish is fresh, local and delicious, and for those in your party that don't like fish there is a... More

Stopped for lunch at the weekend and were greeted and seated by a very friendly and polite waitress. Placed our order and food arrived promptly. The food was very tasty and nicely presented but my only criticism would be that the portions are quite small. Which makes the cost of your meal seem expensive. I have noticed other reviewers stating... More

Just such great service from the moment you arrive - and I say this every time we go! We had oysters to start and mussels in white wine and garlic with hand cut chips. Everything was so fresh, beautifully presented, service was top notch and all of us enjoyed our Saturday afternoon. We will be back.

Hubby and I visited on Sat 11 Oct 14 at 1600hrs, after a day walking in Tullymore and the Mournes. As it was neither lunch, nor dinner, we ordered the squid starter to share and it was nice. For mains we both had fish dishes, mine was smoked fish on a potato cake with creamed leaks - yummy and hubby... More

As a local i very rarely eat around home, i would tend togo to some the top named restaurants in belfast. But the mourne seafood has exceeded my expectations from start to finish, the new head chef has really turned it round, cooking and presentation was outstanding, some of the best dishes i ever tasted. Its a real credit to... More
