Went with a large crowd of friends, and as I don't eat fish it was my first time. Asked for a vegetarian menu, which was recited to me. My starter choice was breads or a green salad. Our table was served with mismatching crockery, and to me very average food albeit vegetarian. Service average, decor average. Don't get sloppy,as you expand.

Sorry you did not enjoy your visit but we are a seafood restaurant and that is our focus. Off course we welcome customers who are vegetarian but it may be difficult for us to meet their expectations. We cannot, and do not try to be , all things to all men . More

Ate here last Saturday evening. Restaurant homely & staff friendly. Food was beautiful, full of flavour, and prices not too bad. Would definitely recommend Mourne Seafood.

Best fish dishes in county down. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, great selection on the menu, including amazing steaks for those who aren't fish lovers. Food was cooked and served to perfection. Brilliant place for an evening out with friends.

Enjoyed a super dinner with friends after hiking Slieve Donard. All sorts of tasty fish dishes created by Head Chef Shea which we all enjoyed .. Spicey Peppers filled with Crab, fantastic Fish Cakes, Sea Bream, traditional Haddock in Batter, Monkfish with an Indian twist .. and more! We had great service, and great fun with the rest of the... It was relaxed, special and amazing. Chris and his staff did us proud!! Every single one of our guest had nothing but praise for the gastronomic delights!! My guest had a choice from a menu to suit their own taste and special consideration were made for vegeterians and children. Once more cheers Chris for making our day so special.

Called in after a long walk in the mountains on Sunday afternoon, the place was jam packed. On arrival the waiter was very helpful squeezing us in as we hadn't booked. We could see from no empty tables we were very lucky to even get a table. We had chowder and the garlic mussels to start which were both very... More

Visited saturday night with my other half for valentines/celebratory meal. I ordered chowder for starters and was assured that it had mussels in it and was fully loaded- what arrived was without mussels, small mug size amount of chowder and two small pieces of bread. Delicious but very small starter - would not order it again. My girlfriend had squid... More
