Had a lovely Lunch on Sunday 31 August at Transkaroo, the food was good and the service sublime. A suggestion is take your own wine and pay corcking fee as the wine you can choose off their rack is extremely expensive.

We have visited TransKaroo on a number of occasions...the food and service is always good! Though I have to admit for me, the portion sizes are more than I can handle. But nobody else in any of our groups had that complaint...they cleared their place without any problem! :) Because the restaurant is situated in the old Station building..the mood is... I liked the structure and where it is based, allowing guests to view the ocean while in the restaurant.

We took a drive out to spot whales off of Glentana, and stopped at the Trans Karoo restaurant for lunch today (Friday). We were the only guests and chose a table close to the wood fire inside. (There are tables on the sea facing decking as well). We selected the garlic snails with blue cheese to share, followed by the... More

Stopped for lunch after the "catwalk" at Botlierskop. Glad we did. Very good food, and efficient and professional service. We will back.

We enjoyed having lunch in the old station building of Great Brak. The service was friendly if rather slow and the food was enjoyable even if only the one part of the "duo of duck" was delicious - the breast of duck was rather tough. Still an enjoyable experience.

We live in Great Brak and the Transkaroo is our favourite restaurant for excellent food in a unique environment, the original station building. The Karoo lamb neck is to die for, and if you still have any tummy-room, the lavender brulee for dessert!
