Having booked the Tredegar Arms for a meal for 18 people as a birthday surprise for my mum I would just like to say how much everyone enjoyed it. All were very impressed by both the starters and the main courses if a bit surprised by the size of the Sunday Best! Not everyone could finish them. We preordered the... More

Decided to have a Sunday lunch so we booked our table for 13.00 We arrived on time and was asked to sit at our table and someone would come and take our drinks order. 20 minutes later a young lad came over to our table to ask what drinks we would like, when asked what real ale's they had he... This was a totally unexpected birthday meal. A truly nice surprise. Quite some time since I've eaten at the "TA" but it was very much up to its previous high standards. We went for the pies and didn't regret it - my chicken and mushroom was top line with good well cooked vegetables. I finished with an apple/rhubarb crumble, quite... More

We had lunch here mid-week and sampled their game pie - beautiful flavour and home cooked, a real treat. The service was quick and friendly and the surroundings pleasant; a little cramped perhaps but tastefully fitted out without losing the character of a small country pub. Good value for money.

Lovely pub on a miserable October day. Having been promptly served, we sat next to the stove in the Restaurant side, the other appearing to be hosting a bridge evening. The food ordered (game pie, fish and chips and sausage and mash) were all traditional pub food, but well presented and beautifully cooked.

This is a modern conversion of a central village country pub. I took my elderly parents and my partner for dinner here on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, the wide choice of home cooked food from classic pub meals to more modern meals and a number of more unusual specials such as the game... Our latest visit to the Tredegar Arms, as usual, did not disappoint. It's not fancy, but the food is all obviously cooked from fresh on the premises and is good value and really tasty. There isn't a huge choice of starters or desserts, but there is always a good range of main courses, including not only the usual "pub fayre"... More

We used a groupon voucher for an evening meal and were really impressed I'd would definitely return. There is an interesting menu [ recommend their pies] and you could tell that the chef cared about the flavour of the food. This country pub has been nicely modernised and the owners/ staff were chatty and helpful .

Really welcoming cosy pub with the fire lit and candles burning. Great choice of dishes on the menu and a further 10 or so dishes on the specials board. Good size portions and really tasty homecooked food, definitely worth a visit :-)
