I've been here quite a few times of the years and it's changed radically from a typical village pub to a pretend foodie house. The food is okay - but nothing special nor better than all the other establishments in the area. I haven't had a bad meal there. What lets the place down is its lack of proper ale.... More

Ok! so wanted a fairly local place to eat and with three kids and wife in tow we went to the TA for a spot of Saturday lunch! Food was good and portions were of a good standard, kids meals were nice and staff very friendly. Timing was a little issue as we were seated for a good 15 minutes... More

We visited this pub today for Sunday lunch. Having previously reviewed this place a few months ago and not being particularly impressed we returned today and were pleasantly surprised. There was a choice of 4 starters and Sunday roast options of roast beef, lamb, pork or chicken. The mains come with a good range of vegetables although we did ask for... More

We have eaten here many times now and without exception have enjoyed both dinners and a fabulous Sunday lunch The menu offers some real treats but we tend to stay with the pies, home made and seriously delicious. Washed down with a good pint in a pretty setting you won't be disappointed

"Seven adults, a toddler and a baby for Sunday Lunch, please, this afternoon." We didn't give them much notice, particularly as it's in the run-up to Christmas, but they didn't disappoint us (well, they never have, to be honest). As usual, we were looked after by friendly staff, we ate well, and the comfortable, informal and Christmassy surroundings added to... More

Having booked the Tredegar Arms for a meal for 18 people as a birthday surprise for my mum I would just like to say how much everyone enjoyed it. All were very impressed by both the starters and the main courses if a bit surprised by the size of the Sunday Best! Not everyone could finish them. We preordered the... More

Decided to have a Sunday lunch so we booked our table for 13.00 We arrived on time and was asked to sit at our table and someone would come and take our drinks order. 20 minutes later a young lad came over to our table to ask what drinks we would like, when asked what real ale's they had he... This was a totally unexpected birthday meal. A truly nice surprise. Quite some time since I've eaten at the "TA" but it was very much up to its previous high standards. We went for the pies and didn't regret it - my chicken and mushroom was top line with good well cooked vegetables. I finished with an apple/rhubarb crumble, quite... More
