Saturday Lunch

Ok! so wanted a fairly local place to eat and with three kids and wife in tow we went to the TA for a spot of Saturday lunch! Food was good and portions were of a good standard, kids meals were nice and staff very friendly. Timing was a little issue as we were seated for a good 15 minutes... read more

We decided to try Sunday lunch at the TA today and we were not disappointed! One course is £9 and 2 courses £12.60, I can't remember how much it was for 3 courses. Excellent choice on the menu, you didn't have to have Sunday lunch if you fancied something else the options were there. Between us we all had either... More

Came across this place whilst out on a bike ride, great coffee and great cake! We sat outside and soaked up the spring sun. Good service with a smile too.

What a fantastic pub!! We were welcomed immediately as a family of four with two lively dogs. The seat in the window was perfect for a leisurely Sunday lunch. Staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the locally sourced ingredients in our delicious roast. The Sunday Best catered for a large appetite and was packed full of flavour and the... Quiet, country pub. Have only eaten Sunday lunch and it was just ok. Supersize portion (Opted for Sunday best) but found meat cut rather thin for the beef (think deli counter) and felt it was a bit pricey for a Sunday Lunch. 4 adults + 2 children, no alcohol - 1 fizzy drink each, about £100 (2 having 3 courses,... A lovely warm atmosphere, log fire, friendly welcome, real ale available, large varied menu. Staff very attentive, drinks served promptly. orders taken within a reasonable time. the wait for the meals was explained as meals freshly cooked, and well worth waiting for. the wait was not excessive compared to other restaurants. and we were asked on several occasions if everything... I've been here quite a few times of the years and it's changed radically from a typical village pub to a pretend foodie house. The food is okay - but nothing special nor better than all the other establishments in the area. I haven't had a bad meal there. What lets the place down is its lack of proper ale.... More

We visited this pub today for Sunday lunch. Having previously reviewed this place a few months ago and not being particularly impressed we returned today and were pleasantly surprised. There was a choice of 4 starters and Sunday roast options of roast beef, lamb, pork or chicken. The mains come with a good range of vegetables although we did ask for... More

We have eaten here many times now and without exception have enjoyed both dinners and a fabulous Sunday lunch The menu offers some real treats but we tend to stay with the pies, home made and seriously delicious. Washed down with a good pint in a pretty setting you won't be disappointed
