Pretty good

We ate here during our stay at the nearby Hotel Niu de Sol and were pretty happy. We had one of their specialty rice dishes (similar to risotto with mushrooms and truffles) and shared a dessert of crème catalan foam with pineapple and chocolate - delicious, but very rich. Service was good and it... read more

I am still in shock at the rudeness I experienced yesterday evening when I visited this restaurant. It was my second visit this year and had returned because I had enjoyed the first visit so much. However on this occasion I only encountered a very unwelcoming atmosphere. Firstly, on arrival I politely requested a different table to the one the... More

Firstly - the setting is beautiful. Stunning, in fact. However, this proved to be Terranova's downfall. We (my girlfriend and her parents) had booked a table outside. When we arrived, there were over a dozen tables free and the table we had been given had little view - so understandably we requested another one with a view. The response we... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a vineyard nearby. We found it up very narrow lanes in a hillside village .what a delightful surprise. Beautiful gardens in a C16th castle, pristine linen with well set tables on a terrace, even a restaurant cat. The meal was €15:40. It was one of the best value meals we have ever had in Europe.... The restaurant is a good 1,5 hours drive away from Barcelona but it was worth the trip! Just getting there you drive along a beautiful scenic route. Once you're there you'll be greeted by a nice entrance and the outdor seating makes for a wonderful experience. The entrees are delicious (I even had a second order of the Croquettas de... More

Was pleasantly surprised by excellent and diverse menu at this restaurant. Seafood and meat dishes were superb and prices quite modest. Had excellent evening with family and friends with children. Kids were enchanted by the venue and the garden with kids facilities and the restaurant carried very romantic yet family comfortable atmosphere. Definitely on the list of "must come back"!

My husband and I went to Terranova on Tuesday for his birthday lunch and both had the set menu. The food was delicious and at a very reasonable 15€ p/p, included 3 courses, bread, wine, water and coffee - great value! As I don´t eat meat, the chef substituted dishes with vegetarian options, and I was pleasantly surprised by the... More

Service was good and it wasn’t too expensive.

Excellent food, great service and a charming setting in a manor style property. Located jlss than 10 minutes by car from Rosas, Empuriabrava or Sta. Margarida. After a full renovation, this restaurant re-opened it's doors approx. 2 years ago under new management and with a new concept. It is now definitely gourmet oriented, but nothing nose-up. You can come as... More

A dull rainy evening with us being the only clients. We had a warm welcome, with a very courtious and personal service. The food included local touches which is not always easy to find in those parts of Spain where there are many tourists. Prices were surprisingly low for the high quality of food, wine and service. The waiter´s advice... More

This restaurant is in charming location with a comprehensive menu however on the day we visited it for dinner they were unprepared for the volume of custom. The building has been tastefully restored with modern electric operated glass doors giving a great view of the kitchen (from some tables). The chef appeared to become involved in food service affecting the... More
