An Unexpected Treat

Time your visit to the Cape Enrage lighthouse so that you can have a meal as well. They open at lunch-time and serve dinner as well. This is a unique restaurant in a unique setting out in the middle of nowhere north of Alma. Chef Jeremy (still a young man) has roamed the world cooking on many... read more

We happened to visit the lighthouse at Cape Enrage at lunchtime so we decided to try the tiny restaurant that is there. What a lucky choice that was! Everyone on the staff, including the chef, was very friendly and the food was great! We had the best lobster roll and seafood chowder of our trip. Everything thing was beautifully presented,... You have to drive along a small and windy road to get to Cape Enragé’s lighthouse, but it is worth the trip! A small and sympathetic restaurant just beside the lighthouse, with a magnificent view on Fundy’s Bay. And the food is wonderful. Among the best pastas we have ever had. The service is excellent, the wine list appropriate. The... More

Have been trying fish chowder on our latest journey. One in CT, 1 in ME, now 2 in New Brunswick. So far this place is a clear first---I was wow'ed by Niger Reef in St Andrews, but the bowl of the goodness I had today....scallops, lobster, pollock, et al. The broth creamy but not too thick. Spics---picked up thyme...but the... More

The food was delicious. Try their rhubarb pie as well as their seafood chowder, highly recommended! If you can't make up your mind, they have good suggestions. We took it and didn't regret them because the food was really wonderful. Our server was very friendly and the lady at the cash was very nice. They don't have a lot of... More

We love going to Cape Enrage..well worth the $10 admission fee for 2 people. Stunning views of the Bay of Fundy and you often see porpoise swimming in the water. After walking the grounds, a great place to grab a bit to eat is the Cape House Restaurant. We have always enjoyed our food there and, in fact, had our... More

Was just superb, a perfect amount of variety, DELICIOUS and when Chef Jeremy says local he means it... Even the vodka is from the east coast. And I was so appreciative to have a children's menu, when my son ordered a plain Hot Dog, and I do mean plain there was a smile of acknowledgement that implied to me ....... More

Nice decor, very good location with a nautical atmosphere; excellent service and fine cuisine at reasonable prices...the lobster poutine for lunch was surprisingly delicious, and the choice of desserts was impressive. We highly recommend this restaurant. Mitch & Susan
