Great ambience and rum drinks.

We enjoyed an evening in late May, 2015. We were informed the facility was under new management that night. The weather cooperated and we experienced a lovely sunset. We did not experience the mosquitoes reported by some reviewers. We did not dine there so we can't comment on the service but, the... read more

Just came back from this magical restaurant. It's the prettiest one we saw on the island. My husband couldn't stop raving about the lobster and my blackened grouper was fantastic. The owner Gloria made every guest feel special and her right hand man, Bahama Obama was hysterical and added to the island ambiance. This place is a great way to... More

Loved the thought of a pool at a restaurant! So I did take a dip before dinner! The owner came around and chatted for a while! Very friendly, vibrant, and enthusiastic about her plan for thier property! Be sure to bring OFF! Quite a few Mosquitos, but we found that was the case everywhere there. Suggestions?? Maybe screens installed so... More

We started our trek down the dirt road wondering what we might find at the other end. Would it be a roadside shack? What a delightful surprise at the end of the road. A beautiful outdoor setting on the water. Romantic lighting added to the ambiance. I had the curry lobster with rice and plantains. It was absolutely delicious. My... More

When you visit Catch a Fire you gotta do it right. A gentle breeze will keep the mosquitoes away, but with out it take the Avon skin-so-soft. Also you should go on band nights. Wednesday and Saturday in the off season. To guarantee you'll sit right by the sea, make a reservation, but you can also chance it. The staff... More

If you want to experience overpriced food, get attacked fireflies, sand fleas, mosquitoes, and biting gnats, then definitely go here. I don't know what was worse the drunk female owner telling her life story to customers, or the extremely horrible and slow service. It wasn't even busy, and we waited over 30 minutes for the check after requesting it, and... More

Great views, right on the water! Grouper was excellent - salads not so much. Terrific atmosphere. Pool and spa right at the restaurant. Cool place - really different. Good place for groups, families or couples. Prices a little high but the price stated on menu also includes 15% gratuity plus 7 1/5 VAT tax, so all considered not so bad. We... More

Food was the best we had. It is all outdoor seating so we had to postpone a night due to rain (after the rain, take Off). Great, quiet location. Walk down to the shore and look for the nurse sharks that come up. Ordered the grilled grouper, very good but a little spicy for sensitive taste buds, chicken satay was... More

We chose this location because of the sunset viewing and it was too cloudy. Food was good, but smaller portions. Owner was very nice and introduced herself. Live music was a nice touch.
