We stopped for lunch - four items on the menu - all fried, nothing grilled. One cook, one server, perhaps 30-40 guests. Over an hour to get our food. We actually were going behind the counter to serve ourselves bottled beverages. Every time we asked how much longer, we were told it was coming out next. I counted four other... More

We were staying at Sandals resort in Great Exuma and rented an SUV to go explore. I highly recommend a jeep or SUV- some of the roads are pretty bumpy. The view and water...crystal clear and beautiful! The food was unbelievably good! We had the pleasure of meeting the some wonderful people. Tanya, Dee and her mother were some of... More

This is by far my favorite restaurant in the Exumas! Right on the ocean, beautiful view, best lobster, and fried grouper you'll ever have! The women who run this place are amazing, sweet, friendly, always smiling. Simple little roadside gem that you don't want to miss out on. When you go, please be sure to go right next door to... More

Santana's Beach Side Grill Pit & Bar is a must stop for a bite when touring Little Exuma! The best cracked lobster on Little Exuma and I would say on Exuma itself! There is a nice little beach out front for a swim. Closed on Monday.

We had lunch at Santanas after our trip to Tropic of Cancer beach, and wow, this place is worth the hype! It's on the side of the road, and extremely simple, but a don't-miss part of all my future Exuma trips. Great lobster, drinks, and chatting.

Even though I am from Los Angeles, I was born in North Carolina and lived some important formative years there in the American South, so maybe it will make sense when I say that with a name like "Santannas Grill Pit", you just KNOW it has to be good! And oh boy, it absolutely is. I rode my rented scooter... More

This is an unmissable experience if you are on Exuma. The owner, Mom, offers the most simple and freshest seafood imaginable such as grouper, conch or lobster and we sat around the bar drinking beer and wine, by the emerald colour sea looking at the photographs of films stars who had previously visited the restaurant when filming locally. The lunch... More

GREAT place on the side of the road that everyone in Exuma knows about. Take cash as no credit cards are accepted. Fish is cleaned right there by the beach.....all meals served with mac/cheese, peas n' rice, and coleslaw. Lobster was the most expensive item up on the board at $22 and WELL worth it [about 5-6 things to choose... More
